Lovely hotel set in beautiful countryside but only minutes from Aberdeen. Fantastic friendly staff working hard to keep the hotel running in very difficult times. Fantastic food with great service. The only downside to our stay was not being able to have wine with dinner or after dinner drinks in the lounge. Good Covid precautions in all areas.

Beautiful hotel and grounds. All COVID-19 regulations adhered to. Stayed in a Privilege Room. Lovely big room which was spotlessly clean. Enjoyed the touch of the bottle of wine in our room. Meals were mainly large portions except dessert. Staff were very friendly and professional. Would stay again

I have grown up going to Sunday lunch with my parents at Ardoe. Attended annual work balls and had a few cheeky nights away with the girls before. However I am sad to say never again. Stayed with my own family 2 adults, 2 kids under 5. My son was excited about swimming pool what could go wrong. The menu at Blairs in evening was very limited and resembled a cheap chain like Brewers fayre. Sorry to say presentation of food and taste/ quality very similar as well. The restaurant was like an icebox. With 2 young kids too cold to eat! Ended up carrying our own food back to room. Which had been like an ice box when checked in as heating turned off at wall sockets. However after a few hours on had heated up and allowed us to eat with some heat. The breakfast was just as bad however the attitude of the waitress was atrocious. I asked for cereal for my son was told they had run out. I asked for some yoghurt none. I asked for some cut up fruit because the fruit salad she advised had pineapple in it and as 2 of our family have severe allergy to pineapple would not be able to eat. She argued that this wasn't the norm.that the kitchen didn't stock fresh fruit and vegetables. She didn't like expanding on what Scottish breakfast included as no summary on menu just heading. Highchair was absolutely filthy. Had not been cleaned. Menus dirty. Crockery dirty. Tea cold. Just everything wrong. So disappointed I actually apologised to my family for bringing them to hotel. The hotel itself sad to say seemed run down and neglected in areas. I know everyone using covid as an excuse but when you do try and spend money to support hospitality industry and get met with this experience you feel like a mug. Sorry to say my happy memories of ardoe have been squashed. Was a lovely place.

Lovely hotel, with lovely staff. We stayed two nights and everything was covid safe. Limited no of staff and they worked hard to keep everyone happy. Some areas were closed off due to social distancing, but the hotel is lovely and we are looking forward to returning once everything is back to normal.
