Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed in guest house for over a year for the nights I was working in Aberdeen. Stuart and Brenda could not have been more friendly and helpful. Great location, the house is really nice with good period features, and always 100% immaculate clean. I would strongly recommend it for vacation or business, and it would definitely be my first choice if I need hotel/B&B accommodation again in Aberdeen.

We need to stayin Berdeen on a regular basis. This was the best experience we have had. Extremely comfortable and spacious room with excellent facilities. Quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was excellent and nothing was too much trouble. Will never go anywhere else!

Visited Abderdeen for a couple of days and stayed here as a base for our cycling break. The start of the Deeside way is just meters from the B&B and its also on the NCN route 1. We couldn't have chosen better ! Stuart and Brenda were so welcoming and helpful. The rooms were spotlessly clean , the breakfast delicious and lots of cycling chat.

A friend and I stayed for 5 nights whilst on a golf break in the area. Brenda & Stuart were absolutely lovely hosts, welcoming and helpful at every turn. The guest house was very comfortable, spotlessly clean, and breakfast was excellent ! The Full Scottish will set you up for a whole day ! The guys are totally flexible and catered to several different requests for our breakfast in the welcoming dining room. I stayed in room 6 which is on the second floor and faces onto Polmuir Road so there was a little noise here and there, but nothing significant. Whilst it's the smallest room, the facilities were absolutely fine. The en suite was perfect, and the in-room fast-action kettle (with supplies) very welcome as was the TV which saw some action during my stay, providing a welcome distraction for a little non-golf down-time during the stay. Having avoided this style of accommodation over the years in favour of full-blown hotels, primarily due to a fear of a low-quality experience, I found The Allan to have changed my mind entirely - highly recommended and I would not hesitate to book again should I visit the area in the future.

We've not long returned from an excellent 3 night stay at the Allan Guesthouse. Our room (3) was very well kept, clean, spacious and the bed was so comfortable! The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options! The hosts Brenda and Stuart were very attentive and catering to any needs all with a smile. The guest house is well located within walking distance of the city centre and round the corner from Duthie Park. I would highly recommend anyone wanting a home away from home and would look to book again next year for our annual visit to Aberdeen.

We recently had 3 night stay at the Allan Guesthouse which more than exceeded our expectations. Our room (8) was particularly spacious, tastefully decorated and spotless. Bed soooo comfortable that we did not want to get up, but that was easily rectified with our delicious breakfast. Menu catered and adapted to suit all. Location: near enough to walk to city centre, far enough to escape all centre noise. Duthie Park 300 metre walk away…we were fortunate to experience a pipe band playing the day we visited. Lovely cafe and also a Winter Garden..great for a rainy day excursion. Brenda and Stuart were the perfect hosts and it was apparent that they enjoyed their host role rather than it being a job !

Great breakfast and the hosts always offered more if we wanted. Our stay was effortless, homey and great value! Highly recommend staying here.
