Stayed here in june 2004. staff were very helpful and pleasant. Room was large, clean and pleasantly decorated. The en-suite was also clean and nicely done. I would definately stay here again and thought it was super.

Check in was smooth and easy, we arrived early and we're able to drop bags off until booking in time as room was not ready yet. Rooms are small but clean adequate for an overnight stay but wouldn't want a prolonged stay. Very noisy with people coming up stairs through the night. Didn't have breakfast in the morning so can't comment on food.
Fair price for what you get in the centre of Aberdeen

Ideal location for our weekend stay. Just off the main street which has all the shops and bars. The rooms were good for the price we paid. Had a brilliant stay thanks to all the helpful staff. A good laugh.

we turn up to hotel there was no one on reception until we pressed a bell they appeared 20 minutes after we arrived, the room was average only small towels to dry ourselves after washing no proper towels, room was cold also

during the stay my parner got rudely awaken by drunks in the hall who were very loud and noisy,

restraunt

the waitress of the hotel restraunt wasnt very pleasant quite rude in fact we got asked if we wanted a full breakfast no option of choice, breakfast arrived and was poor cold beans only 4 half pieces of toast had to request more toast as breakfast wasnt very filling overall it looked like the waitress wasn't very experienced she wasnt very helpful and also looked like she needed alot more customer service training too.

we will never be visiting this hotel ever again and wont be promoting this hotel to friends or family,

were extremely very disappointed with how we were treated during our stay

stayed in room 24 of the hotel, mattress was wet and it had gone through to the supposed to be clean sheets. went and complained to one of the housemaids who wasn't helpful at all. there was also a condom under the bed and the room smelt of smoke.

Was the worst hotel i've ever stayed at and will not ever be returning!!!!

Stayed here for one night for a night out in the city.

We were disappointed to find that it only has 4 parking spaces when it very clearly says car parking available.

When we brought this to the attention of the bar man/receptionist (he does both) he had a very aggressive attitude towards it, saying they do have car parking and that it's not his fault that it's full!

When we pointed out they should warn that they only have 4 spaces his attitude was "why should we".

He threatened to get the owner who was down in the bar drinking!!

We asked if he would contribute towards the pay & display (which turned out to be only £2) he said certainly NOT!

Other than that the hotel needs a good makeover, the room keys hardly ever work and the breakfast is nothing exciting.

It's a shame as when the owner was younger he was really on the ball, but sadly he's now semi retired and lives abroad most of the year and nobody seems to care anymore.

Girl who does the breakfast was cheerful.

Badly needs a new owner with some passion.

I would thoroughly recommend the Highland to anyone visiting Aberdeen on business or pleasure. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Lovely little bar and beer garden. Tasty hearty grub. Comfortable rooms with tasteful decor. Couldn't really ask for more!!! I would certainly ditsy here again next time I am on business.
