Ideally positioned for the amazing views of the sea and located directly on the harbour in the historic town of Arbroath, ‘Harbour Nights’ has three recently refurbished rooms that make for a very comfortable stay in this central but quiet part of the town. Extremely well finished, the modern and tasteful décor make the best of the light and space enjoyed by Georgian properties, and reflect its seaside surroundings perfectly. Downstairs, award winning breakfasts are served in the lovingly furnished breakfast room, and guests can enjoy their delicious food with views across the Marina and out to the North Sea, and the distant Bell Rock Lighthouse.

In this lovingly renovated 18th century merchant sea captains house, (Grade B listed) this unique and charming B&B is the perfect place to take a short walk to the historic Arbroath Abbey, the location of the monumental ‘declaration of Arbroath’ the Signal Tower Museum, shore station to the Bell Rock Lighthouse, Seaton cliffs, an area of special geographical importance. Owned and managed by Michelle and Brian, their loving care and attention to detail makes this a fantastic place to stay, and the choice on offer of a large suite, double bedroom, and twin bedroom, all beautifully furnished and decorated can accommodate your needs.

The Superior Suite with a double aspect sea and harbour view, has a super king size bed, pocket sprung mattress, with deluxe cotton sheets and duck feather duvet, and its own ensuite. We can also provide hypoallergenic quilts and pillows on request. Solid oak furniture, Italian leather sofa, original tiled fireplace, and high specification TV and sound system makes the lounge the perfect place to relax in the evening.

The ‘Boutique Double’ and ‘Luxury Twin’ have extensive views of the landscaped garden and out towards the abbey and old town. Both rooms have either their own ensuite or private bathroom facilities, solid oak furniture, pocket sprung mattresses, deluxe cotton sheets with duck feather duvets.

Whichever option you choose, the bathrooms are all provided with Egyptian Cotton Towels and Luxury Toiletries, Each of the rooms and suite has a kettle, biscuits, choice of coffees and Twyings speciality teas, hairdryer, shoe cleaning kits and much more. All rooms have superfast WIFI and modern Freeview and Smart TVs.

Arbroath is in an ideal location, being on the main Angus Tourist Route and a short drive to popular tourist destinations such as Glamis Castle, Stone Haven and Dunnottar Castle. Whether guests want to visit the ancient Pictish carved stones at nearby St Vigeans or play a round of golf at the plethora of nearby golf courses, such as Panmure, Carnoustie, Montrose, and St Andrews, we could not be better placed. Harbour Nights is located directly on the North Sea Cycle Route, we welcome both walkers and cyclists and can offer secure cycle storage on the property.

We both look forward to welcoming you to our amazing Bed and Breakfast, and the delights of historic Arbroath and the wider county of Angus as a whole.

What can I say...... Well this place is absolutely outstanding. Hosts are very friendly and made my stay extremely comfortable. I would give a lot more stars if possible. I have continued booking here since my first stay as it is remarkable and the breakfasts are out of this world. Absolutely brilliant. Hosts were very attentive to me and made sure I was happy at all times. If booking around this area I strongly advise harbour nights. You will not be dissapointed. An absolute gem of a place.

Property's Favourite Review
When 5 stars just isn’t enough ! We have had the most relaxing, cosy, comforting 2 night stay at Harbour Nights in Arbroath. From the minute we walked through the door we felt we were being looked after, Michelle welcomed us both on arrived and showed us to the suite. To say it exceeded every expectation is an understatement. It gave us just what we asked for, time to chill, walk on the beach and have some nice food while spending quality time together. It’s clear to see that Michelle and Brian are a team and that shines through in all they do. The breakfasts are better than any 5star hotel I’ve been to and the presentation and care taken over them is amazing, not to mention the freshness and quality of the ingredients. I’d highly recommend anything on the breakfast menu but the home made muesli and yoghurt ticked all the boxes for me - delicious ! If you haven’t been before, it’s an experience not to be missed. Cannot wait to come back. Brian and Michelle, thank you so so much for your hospitality, we both had the best time. Much love to you both xxx

Thank you so much for your great review. We always appreciated the time taken by guests to write a review and even more so, when they share the photographs as well. It was a pleasure hosting you both for your relaxing weekend and we look forward to welcoming you back to Harbour Nights. Michelle loves your positive comments about her breakfasts, she does put her heart and soul into her menu. As recently demonstrated in her ‘Taste our best’ award from ‘Visit Scotland’. Thanks again. Stayed at Harbour Nights for an overnight stay. We had booked the Superior Seaview Suite. The room was lovely and spacious with a large seating area which was tastefully decorated in anticipation of the festive season coming up. Our hosts were lovely. From the minute we stepped thorough the door, they were very welcoming and attentive. The breakfast the following morning was a great way to start the day. All the ingredients of our cooked breakfast were of the highest quality and cooked perfectly. Would happily recommend this lovely B&B to anyone staying in Arbroath. If we plan on staying in the area again, this would be our first choice.

I stayed here for one night on business during Storm Babet that was absolutely battering the east coast of Scotland. The Harbour Nights Guest House proved to be just the perfect safe haven a travelling sales rep. along way from home could have found. Brian and Michelle really make you feel very welcome, and due to the awful weather outside I ordered some food from a local takeaway to be delivered and I sat and ate it with Brian and Michelle in their lovely downstairs dining room. They are a lovely couple and have done an immense job refurbishing this lovely old historic building. Their renovations have been very in keeping with the history of the building. AND I especially love the addition of the port hole to the kitchen door Brian. EPIC! Whenever I am back up in bonny wee Scotland on business I will always try and see if there is any room at their Inn. Very recommended..

Had an amazing overnight stay here. It was a last minute decision on our way down the east coast and we're so happy we found this place. We stayed in the suite with sea view and I have to say it was one of the loveliest places we have ever stayed. I'm not usually one for reviews but this is honestly a beautiful apartment. This was also our first time in Arbroath but won't be our last as we only manged a quick look around and a lovely meal at the Old Brewhouse as we couldn't wait to get back to relax and enjoy the views from the apartment. If we had more time we would definitely have stayed longer. Plenty of places to eat nearby including the Boathouse just across the harbour (unfortunately we could only eat one dinner haha so we'll save this one for next time.) Michelle and Brian were such a lovely couple and we had a nice chat with them as we enjoyed Michelles fantastic breakfast. I got a sneak peek at the other rooms too which were also lovely . There is another room on the same level as the Seaview suite which would be good for maybe families with older kids or couples who could then all get together in the seaview suite living area. All in all we loved it and the love and attention to detail these guys have put in to this place really shows.

My family's trip to Arbroath to celebrate my father's Life and bring him home could not have been any sweeter. Family, friends, memories that held us all in his hands, in a place where his happiest times were had. To be welcomed home with open arms each night and nourished with such comfort and delicious care each morning was for us, and my 86 year old mother, more than a bed and breakfast. More than a beautiful space (and it is) to be in. Brian and Michelle became part of our extended family... our celebration... our best memories ever! We cannot thank-you enough for ALL of the extra special touches, hugs and delicious FOOD!! :) for our Bob! There is no other place for us now in Scotland but Harbor Nights Guest House, on the harbor of Arbroath!! Love you guys and... we'll be back!
