Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked a Christmas lunch for 60 people on the 8th of December. Just before service one of our party became unwell. The staff could not have been more caring and helpful, assisting with the person who was unwell and liaising with the ambulance service. Due to a wait for an ambulance they were not able to serve our meal until over an hour after the original time. We all, naturally, expected that there would be some compromise due to the long delay but everybody's meal came out freshly cooked, piping hot and delicious. I do not know how they managed it but full credit to the kitchen and waiting staff. Thank you.

I visited here for a night, staff were very pleasant and room/bathroom was spacious. Flat screen tv (smart tv) that provided you with Netflix etc. everything was clean and coffee/tea and biscuits were available too. My room included breakfast in which I had the Arbroath Smokie which was very fresh and tasty, the coffee tasted quite low quality though which was a little disappointing. My only big disadvantage of staying here was that the room was very noisy, the radiator made such a loud noise I had to turn it off, and as my room was situated facing the train track, the room shook as each passed. I would return as this would only really be an issue if I needed to sleep during the day whilst the trains were running.

We were seated in a traditional dining room which was nicely decorated and brightly lit, always good so you can read the menu and see the food! Good menu and excellent service, very friendly waitress (the lady with the teenage son). The beef steak pie was delicious, as were all our starters and puddings. Good value for money and very handy for the railway station and beach.

My daughter and I was on a business trip and just chanced getting in here for a night. The dinner was amazing. We were leaving too early for breakfast so they made us a pack lunch. The rooms were amazing.

Booked lunch for a birthday treat. Haven't been to the Station for quite a few years but the standards are just as high as they ever were. Food, service, surroundings and prices were excellent. Would highly recommend.

We stayed here for 1 night - thank goodness. No parking. Check in was rushed. Restaurant was fully booked. Information at check in was poor. We felt like an inconvenience. Room door was open which wasn’t great. Room had a distinct odour of stale cigarette smoke. Bathroom was very disappointing. No coat hooks anywhere and electric socket nowhere near mirror. This is not an £80+ per night room. Eventually got food in the public bar which was mediocre. Bar area was not covid compliant, dirty, sticky tables. Breakfast staff were lovely and masks were worn. Breakfast was ok, just ok. Overall this was really disappointing. A little more effort at very little expense and this place could be half decent. The barman and the breakfast staff were the only redeeming elements of this stay.

We had booked a table here to have a meal after the ladies golf finished, we both ordered the steak pie which was absolutely beautiful, my hubby is a bit picky about steak and couldn't fault it. Staff pleasant and they had people well spaced out in the various rooms.

We booked in here for a four night break. We had two neighbouring rooms - the double room was big with a king sized bed. Only downside was a very small en-suite. The single room was small but adequate and it's ensuite was bigger! Both rooms were well appointed, sea views and the wifi worked perfectly. I've knocked one star off "sleep quality" as the duvet was a little warm for a lady of a certain age! The staff were very friendly and we felt quite safe as regards covid - temperatures were checked on arrival, tables in the resturant were well spaced out and staff had as little contact with guests as possible.
