Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We’ve just had a lovely two night stay at Morven House. The house is really nice and we were given a lovely welcome on arrival. Our room was very comfortable and everywhere is spotlessly clean. The view from our bedroom was great. The breakfast was delicious and made with quality ingredients. We would certainly stay at Morven House again if we are back in the area and would definitely recommend it.

My mum and I stayed here for 2 nights and both our bedrooms were comfortable, quiet and spotlessly clean. Splendid view from our bedrooms over the town to the golf course and the sea. Lisa was a very welcoming host and we greatly appreciated the evening pots of tea infront of the fire in the very comfortable lounge. The house is recently and tastefully decorated with some lovely touches. Easy to find, easy to park - we'll be back!

Two senior couples spent 4 days out of a 21 day driving trip around Scotland, at the lovely Morven House B&B with Lisa and Graham as the perfect hosts. Comfortable rooms and beds, great location on the hill overlooking the town and sea. Delicious breakfasts in a cute homey atmosphere. Our one golfer was able to fulfill his dream of playing at the Carnoustie Championship Course, and was having such a good time he had a whole in one on the 8th. The four of us have traveled extensively and prefer B&B and smaller hotels and were all delighted with this great find. We like to get to know the people where we travel and could not have found a better couple and place to stay.

Just had the most fabulous family weekend at Morven House, booking up all the rooms. As a large family living all over Scotland we wanted somewhere we could all get together to celebrate a special birthday. Lisa and Graham were fantastic hosts giving us all a warm welcome on arrival and assisting us to make sure we had an unforgettable weekend. They arranged for us to have a disco bouncy castle and sumo wrestling suits for kids and adults alike including giving us access to a barbecue, pergula, firepit with loads of out door seating available. Inside there was a pool room, darts and karaoke. We absolutely loved our room done out beautifully with comfortable bed and gorgeous views. We also enjoyed walking to the beach and a long the promenade and through the town where we visited some lovely cafes. Everything you could need within easy walking distance.

Our stay here with our friends from America was fabulous from the second Lisa opened the door and greeted us all. The rooms are well appointed and have very comfortable beds. The views from the rooms are just stunning. Breakfast is plentiful and very tasty. We will certainly return to this lovely accommodation.

The hosts Lisa and Graham were very welcoming and lovely to meet. The rooms were well decorated, bright and clean with nice little touches like the pictures on the walls and there were plenty of electric sockets to charge your things which I find is very important these days. The beds were very comfortable & made every day also the rooms all had en-suite toilets, sinks and shower cubicles of a modern and high standard. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and also had a wide choice ranging from a full English/Scottish breakfast or just a fruit or a continental breakfast was also available. We will definitely be back soon as we had three lovely days break there.

Lisa and Graham are excellent hosts - warm, welcoming and so friendly. Morven House is beautiful and our room was great with everything we needed for a really comfy stay. The breakfast was fantastic and Lisa's suggestions for where to go out to eat in Carnoustie were spot on. Would highly recommend a stay here, we had a great time.

I spent 2 extremely pleasant nights at Morven House with my adult daughters. The house is wonderful: bright, quiet, clean, and well-maintained. Great views of the town and golf course from the front of the house. The beds were very nice. Lisa was a wonderful host - friendly and welcoming and had great recommendations for restaurants and other things to do. Breakfast was easily the best of our trip - the fresh fruit was fantastic. The town is just down the hill and had a few shops to check out. Don't miss the Cliffs of Arbroath just to the North and the museums in Dundee to the South. The train goes through Carnoustie (didn't ride) which gives options for visiting. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
