Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed little bit less than 2 weeks. I travelled with my pet and room was booked by phone. Owners are incredibly nice and helpful, happy to give You recommendations of places to visit and restaurants that are worth trying. All requests I have made were not a problem and adjustments were made before my arrival. Breakfast is tailored to Your order and freshly made on time You request. As a vegetarian I was offered meat free options which were delicious :)
Hotel is clean and quiet. It has a cosy and home like interior and owners make sure that You feel welcomed and cherished.
I have stayed in many hotels but this one was most memorable and I hope to come back there in future.

The Limes was easy to find in the town. It has its own parking area that is difficult to maneuver in, but free on street parking in front of it is also available. Most rooms are on the 1st floor. Our room was large with three beds. The bed was comfortable. Upon arrival guests are given a sheet to select what they want for breakfast and the time they want to eat breakfast. There’s a large gathering room on the ground floor with a number of chairs for socializing with others.

Stayed at the limes on Saturday night. Really clean rooms and a fantastic breakfast. The hosts are very welcoming and offered us advice on where to eat and so on. Pleanty of parking out the front of the property and close to the town centre.

If, like me, you are unfortunate enough to be travelling alone, you may be allocated room 9. Don’t expect to sleep. This is obviously a flat roof section on what is otherwise a lovely traditional building where every footstep, shuffle and full rehearsal by the gulls for whatever West End musical was beyond bearable.

Can’t possibly be an unknown issue, so can only thank the proprietors for their kind consideration.

Booked last minute, room only, at a cheap price so perhaps got what venue considers to reflect that price, ie sleep excluded!

Maybe my experience can prevent others making the same mistake.

Spent a few days at the Limes and found it relaxing and comfortable. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had in a B&B and rivalled some of the hotels I've stayed in. There was a fridge in the room which was really handy. It's location could hardly be better. Just a few minutes walk took you to the town centre and to most shops. The only criticism was the bed. A bit too low for me as I'm getting on a bit and am 6' 4".However I am a bad sleeper managing only 4-5 hours a night on average but in the bed at the Limes I slept like a baby. Will certainly be staying again soon.

Beautiful old house ideally located in a quiet area just off the main street. Loved the original features of the house, particularly the curved front door and the tiled floor, a proper statement entrance!
Bedroom was much larger than expected, very comfortable beds (although one slightly creaky) and a spacious en-suite. Bedroom had a mini fridge, tea/coffee facilities, TV and hairdryer.
Lovely guest lounge and dining room. Breakfast was a choice of deliciously cooked items or a variety of cereals/fruits.
Karen and Jen are extremely likeable and happy to help out with any local information queries.
All in all, it's a great place to stay!

Up until today, this would have been a 4/5 star review.

One cannot fault Jen, the owner, who goes the extra mile to ensure your comfort and cater to your needs. For Jen, I give 5 stars.

Then we have Jeanie Scott ?who removed me from the guest WhatsApp app without notice despite being a fully paid guest.

I have been very unwell, and this was my lifeline should I need assistance? Absolutely despicable behaviour!

Therefore, star rating has plummeted to 1 star. I am isolated in my room with no practical means of assistance.

Jen offered a refund for extended stay until Thursday, however, despite following instructions, nothing received.

To say I'm disappointed is an understatement. The 'management' need to get on the same page

Thank you to Kirsty for being such a welcoming, personable, and accommodating host! The was a short but sweet stop for my family and supplied just what we needed. I especially enjoyed the access to the outdoor gazebo in the evening where my family and I could chat without disturbing other guests. Also, enjoyed how we could walk to a restaurant for dinner and then the beach for a summer nighttime stroll!

We stayed one night in this beautiful Georgian B&B guest house, Karen the host was friendly & the whole house was spotlessly clean, we had a family bedroom, comfy bed, a great shower, also had coffee, tea etc. A five minute walk to all the shops, restaurants & bars. We will return.
