Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely hotel, easy to find, plenty of parking. We stayed for one night with our dog Skye, she is very nervous. The staff were brilliant and made us all feel very welcome. They set up dinner and breakfast in a quiet corner of the bar so Skye would not stress. The dinner was delicious, we both had the Haddock & chips and puddings were just as good. Breakfast was served as a buffet with plenty of choice and again the staff were brilliant, especially with Skye. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

Stayed here for one night, in a standard room, with breakfast (November 2023). Also had afternoon tea on arrival. Great value for money, and friendly, no nonsense staff. Would recommend this hotel, if our experience is anything to go by.

Hubby and I stayed here 3 weekends in 3 months and we've already booked up for next Spring. I can easily get my mobility scooter right into our spacious ground floor room, so I highly recommend the hotel for accessibility. Our room was very fresh and comfortable and the good quality beds made for a perfect night's sleep. Large bathroom where the fittings looked very new, soft towels and good quality toiletries too. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout so IMO they have excellent housekeeping staff. Breakfast buffet, served in the pretty restaurant, is plentiful and very tasty with a large selection of choices which are perfectly cooked and displayed. Serving staff are friendly and attentive. They have a comfortable bar with pleasant staff naming Tracy and Craig for their friendliness and welcome on each of our visits, though the rest of the staff are equally nice. There was a wedding on during our latest stay and peeking into the large space set up for it we could see it was very professionally managed and the tables and room looked spectacular. Gillian and her daughter did a wonderful job with the décor.

We went to the Park Hotel restaurant for dinner as a family and the food and service was poor. The burger wasn't cooked through, the chips appeared to be oven cooked, the pastry on the steak pie was wafer thin and the waiters were forgetful and fighting.

This hotel is a really nice hotel with great friendly staff, room was nice. But the thing that lets this hotel down, is the same thing that lets a lot of hotel's down ( The Breakfast) Now let's talk about it! How do you fancy hard dry Bacon, hard rubber eggs, dry haggis and really Dry black pudding. As a matter of fact just a breakfast that is completely dried out! The sausages and mushrooms were ok, they must have been put out 15 minute's or so before we came down at 08:45. There major problem with breakfast is the hotplate they use with the hot lights it drys all the food out as they have no covers on the top of the food. Suggest you purchase a bain-marie to keep food warm an have covers over the food so it doesn't dry out. So everyone, if you are having breakfast, make sure your down at 7am cause if not with the type of hotplate they have look out for a dry hard breakfast, as obviously the chef dose not check his breakfast stuff to see if it need refreshing or topped up? I won't even talk about the beans!! Try better with!

Room was clean or at least as clean as it can be with a thick carpet. Otherwise the hotel is alright. Had a steak dinner and for the price paid it was a good deal, over all good service in hotel and restaurant. Do not mind staying there again, for a night or two.
