Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I trusted this would be the best treat in the area for my business clients and was was 200% confirmed. Occupying all 7 rooms for 3 nights, Kirsteen and Willie made it a great experience to all of us. Everyone would like to come back. Hopefully for better weather next time

Stayed for two nights in September 2023 as a base for a golfing weekend and booked two separate rooms for single occupancy. Kirsteen could not have been more helpful throughout, including for the booking process. The B&B is a converted grammar school with only a handful of rooms and is placed about 5 mins walk from the town centre/harbour. The photos don’t do justice to the rooms - they are massive with enormous ceilings (I had ample space to practice my golf swing with no fear of hitting anything). Beds were comfy, bathroom was modern and spotless and a nice touch with a little home made treat each day. The Scottish breakfast was out of this world - I was still full at 5pm. Couldn’t recommend it more highly

What can we say? This place is amazing. Kirsteen was warm and welcoming when we arrived. She showed us to our room and breakfast every morning was excellent! This is the place to stay when visiting Campbeltown.

A warm welcome and clear guidance about facilities. The room was immaculate and comfortable, and the breakfasts delicious & cooked to order. There is spacious parking at the front. This was our second visit and we would certainly choose to return there again.

A welcoming building from entering the door. Very friendly owner and staff. Our room was spacious, clean and bright - despite the black threatening clouds outside! The car park is huge and we even got in to our room early. Tea & coffee making facilities are really good (even decaf) and superb home made shortbread. We loved the decor, style and wall hangings. (This building used to be part of the old Campbeltown Grammar School, and retains the beautiful high windows.) We slept well and enjoyed a hearty Scottish Breakfast - lots of choice here. I cannot say better than that. Great place, we will return again.

Spent a weekend in Kintyre and Campbeltown golfing with family. After play, we were warmly welcomed to this lovely guest house and given wonderfully appointed rooms with en suite shower. There was a slice of freshly baked carrot cake by the tea / coffee facilities on arrival. Willie, the friendly owner gave us advice on all aspects of the accommmodation and showed us around the spacioous breakfast area. Each room had very comfortable beds, seating and sky TV. All fittings looked new and were of a high quality. Our stay was relaxing, quiet and comfortable and the breakfast was top quality. The guest house was within easy walking distnace of our chosen restaurant. We would highly recommend this establishment, as it represents excellent value for money.

All the previous excellent reviews have already made it clear how good Grammar Lodge is and, having discovered it, I wouldn't consider anywhere else in Campbeltown to stay for a short or a long holiday.
