Stayed here for 3 nights while down on business in the area. Brecklate is located in a rural setting about 10-15 minutes drive south from Campbeltown. It is a converted farmhouse which is still surrounded by a working farm. The property has two guestrooms - both of which are spacious, light and airy and have been fitted out to a high standard. I personally found the bed one of the most comfortable I have slept in for a while. It is also a beautifully peaceful location with very little traffic or other noise to distract. The couple who run it are lovely and Jacqui looked after myself and my colleague well. And there are also a couple of 'enthusiastic' black labradors thrown in for good measure - although they are kept well under control! Breakfast was also great. NIce choice of food from the 'Full Scottish' down to cereals. Particularly enjoyed the homemade pancakes with blueberries and maple syrup. Would certainly stay there again if down in that area.…
Jacqui runs this lovely 2 unit B& B inside her country farmhouse home surrounded by rolling hills and fields stocked with curious livestock. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our 2 night stay at the end of May; gorgeous room with all amenities you will need and Jacqui’s keen eye and attention to detail coupled with her warm and welcoming personality, superb culinary skills ( we savoured beautiful evening meal as well as breakfasts with many homemade or homegrown items), and the baked treats waiting in our room. This is not your average B&B and an experience fellow travellers should not miss Thanks Jacqui for a lovely break and we will definitely touch base if we return to Kintyre in tge future Eric& Maggie
Brilliant stay, in an excellent B&B. Accommodation and room amazing. Very tidy and excellently prepared. And the food...words cant describe how really great the food was. Parking fine and easy to find. And House-martins too.
This is a top quality B&B. The booking process was swift and efficient. We found Brecklate easily from the information provided and Jacqui was there to welcome us when we arrived, Our room was very comfortable, excellent bed, large bathroom with walk-in shower and double ended bath. There was loads of hanging and storage space. We had a mezzanine sitting area which we used a lot. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided and of very good quality including complimentary home made bakes. The room was airy and warm giving us both a great nights sleep. Breakfast was fabulous, we also had an evening meal cooked by Jacqui which was superb. We appreciated the tips for places to eat. and especially an update on the ferries as it meant that we ended up driving 3 less hours! Thanks Jacqui!…
Stayed here for a few nights while gathering everything for a family funeral, Jacqui & Matt made us feel so welcome especially the reason for staying at the B&B. Jacqui and Matt were able to accommodate us at such short notice, the stay felt more like a Hotel. Breakfast was top class and the hospitality from Jacqui and Matt was more than what we expected. Beautiful bedrooms and bed’s so comfy, friendly atmosphere, cosy sitting area with a log fire, very clean also waking up every morning with a beautiful view of the beautiful outdoors surrounding the B&B, was an all round amazing time spent here. Thanks again for our lovely stay and hope to be back soon. Mark & Family x
