Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just had my ninth (I think) stay with Maggie and Alistair. The welcome is as warm as ever with an excellent room and cooked breakfast, This time I had a friend (who has very exacting standards) travelling with me. She loved the place.

Outstanding. Rooms were lovely and homely the scenery is also incredible with a wee access to the water front Maggie went above and beyond to make my stay amazing. I had to leave early meaning I would miss breakfast however Maggie went out her way to make me a packed lunch to take away so I wouldn’t be hungry Would highly recommend

Thank you very much Garry, even I would want to stay at Maggie's based on your review lol. Seriously that is a very complimentary review and we pride ourselves in making our guests feel at home. Hope the packed lunch done its job as we never like guests to be hungry which is why we supply a packed lunch if guests happen to be leaving earlier. Kind Regards Maggie

At Maggie's in Furnace, near Inveraray, you'll feel like part of her family. A clean, large, tastefully decorated room with its own shower, sink & toilet. A comfortable bed and - best of all - an incredibly great view of the sea. Add to that Maggie's warm hospitality and a great breakfast. We felt very comfortable and definitely recommend Maggie

Stayed here a couple of nights to get away for our 40th, b&b is lovely, clean, fantastic scenery, went a lovely walk round the area, very relaxing, host is absolutely fantastic, very attentive, due to covid packed lunches provided instead of breakfast, very generous, way more than we expected, we have really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend and will definitely come back again, A+++

This was the second time I’ve stayed at Maggie’s. It’s perfect for me to break up a long drive home. There’s lots of parking, a beautiful view, comfy rooms and Maggie is friendly and very helpful. I probably won’t be in the area again but if I am, I’ll gladly come back and stay here!

This accommodation was clean and comfortable with stunning views of the Loch and mountains. We enjoyed some coffee on the shared decking overlooking the loch along with some breakfast from the local village shop. Maggie herself was extremely friendly and accommodating and supplied us with a lovely packed lunch to enjoy on our travels. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely return if we are passing through Inveraray again.

Thank you for your excellent review. It was a pleasure to have you stay and we're delighted you found your accommodation clean and conformable (it's a new memory foam mattress this season). Covid is presenting problems re social distancing etc but we extremely pleased to see that our packed lunch alternative is a hit with the majority of our guests. Maybe see you again Kind regards Maggie

This is our second visit and once again it was first class , in fact it is so good , we are reluctant to give a review in case it is fully booked the next time we want to come ! Lovely host , lovely breakfast and great views out the back across the loch . Clean and comfortable with good WiFi .

Very friendly, super clean, sensibly priced. Highly recommended! The location of Maggie's bed and breakfast is very special - right on Loch Fyne. A good place to break the journey to the Islay ferry so you can start your holiday refreshed after a very comfortable night's sleep! Covid procedures were all in place. Robert & Alyson
