We stayed in the General's Apartment on the second floor - a bit of a climb with cases, but it was worth it - beautifully appointed, and while the facilities were all there for self catering - there are so many places to eat, it's hard to justify staying in.Brambles right opposite was perfect for breakfast, and the George just...

We stayed on the top floor of the house. It was very nice, with pretty good facilities, however I wouldn't recommend this particular apartment if you are over 6'2" (which I am), as the beams in the main living area are this height approx, which meant I spent the weekend ducking them. Miss Mary's Apartment is on the second floor of the Paymaster's House, in the middle of the short main street and within easy walking distance to everything, including Inverary Castle. Good quality, comfortable and excellent value for money accommodation in the middle of beautiful Inverary. Walking distance to everything and right above The Co-op. So if you were planning to go to The George and can't get a room don't despair The Paymasters is there.
