Stayed here overnight on Sat 9th. We haven't been since 2007 when we thought the place had really improved. How bad things have gotten in two years is astonishing! Jacuzzi bath was filthy. We ran it through a couple of times to hopefully clear the jets but it still spewed out

Dear Carol, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback from your most recent stay at the Best Western Muthu Queens Hotel. I am sorry to hear that you felt your stay was unsatisfying. I am unsure who Sarah is, but I will pass on information to central reservations regarding the reservation. With your reservation being a voucher, you should of been informed that a room upgrade from a kingsize room like we honour is only available for an upgrade subject to availability on arrive. I apologise on behalf of central reservations on this matter. I apologise for the issue with communication between staff regarding your bottle of wine, I will speak with the whole front of house team on Friday so we can implement new ideas how to better communication so this does not happy again. Thank you for your enquiry Maurice. I see from your reservation that you have booked one of our partial bay view rooms which are located in the second of our two buildings. Rooms are allocated through an automated system but we can certainly move you if you wish to call up and speak to the reception team? Oban is rather restricted in terms of parking; we have aprox 12 parking spaces on site as well as a disabled bay for blue badge holders which we can reserve if you are a blue badge owner. There is ample space along the esplanade directly in front of the hotel which is unrestricted but as I mention Oban is limited for parking especially in peak season. Unfortunately, due to being listed, we are unable to have a lift in the front building meaning just the one lift which is accessible via 14 steps and a corridor. There are no ground floor rooms in the hotel and all rooms can only be accessed via this stair case. That said we offer help with luggage on arrival and are more than happy to reallocate your room, where possible, if you wish to contact directly. Thanks again for your enquiry and we look forward to seeing you in June :)

Hi cbuehrle, We do have a lift but this is only accessible via 14 steps and a corridor. Unfortunately, we are a listed building so are unable to fit a lift in the front building. I hope this helps and if you have any further questions please contact us. Thank you

I hope not! I'd hate to think I'd been allocated a room where people bring their dogs. I've no dislike of dogs but I'm highly allergic to them & the least dog hair would set me off with hay fever type reactions. I don't think dogs should be allowed into hotel rooms unless they are guide dogs. If it's a dog friendly hotel, then ok in public spaces.
