Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely large room with a fabulous view ( once the scaffolding was down on day 2) amazing bathroom, very comfortable bed. Beaut staff. Great to have a super clean & well equiped common kitchen for meal preparation. Only downside on arrival on a Sunday afternoon was unpleasantly being jostled by drunken youths as trying to enter bar next door to checkin, then having to climb over/ through another group of inebriates & their broken glasses spread across the door entry of Corran House. Does Scotland NOT have responsible service of alcohol??

Located above a pub, we were on the top floor so was no problem, you get discount at the pub on food if you show your room key. Friendly staff, clean room, towels shower and toilet with hand soap and shower gel and toilet paper. TV and Wi-Fi available and comfy beds. Close to everything and on water front. Great place have booked for next year.

Comfy bed, new bathroom and everything very clean. I have stayed before now and in general everything is even better with attentive and helpful staff. We left our luggage for the morning before catching our ferry. Excellent value and would definitely stay again.

A spotlessly clean an comfortable triple bedroom, and a fabulous, exceptionally well equipped and set up communal kitchen (the best I have ever experienced) and a lovely communal lounge, both with wonderful views over the bay. Great value, and my two children and I all really enjoyed our stay.

Had a lovely Sea View room with the most comfortable bed. The views of Oban Bay were great to wake up to. Oban itself is a great place to visit with so much to do and see! Make sure you pop over to Kererra Island while you are here! The pub below ‘Markie Dan’s’ is a must visit for a night time tipple!

We had room 33, Excellent comfortable room, friendly staff and amazing views of the sea. Superb value for 4 people and a lively pub serving decent pub fare below. Would definitely book Corran House again for future stays in the area. The stairs may be troublesome for some people however.

Awful. Only stay here if you want to party all night and be awakened at 9am because you have to feed the parking meter! The bar downstairs, Markie Dan's, is apparently THE PLACE TO BE until after 2am. People were hooting and hollering until almost 3 and we had to get up to feed the meters. It was awful. The rooms were clean though

Pleasant surprise, unique combination of bed & breakfast, youth hostel, and bar & restaurant, located on the waterfront. Room immaculate. Some current construction during the day, but notified prior to arrival and did not affect us. That's about it, but Trip Advisor is insisting on my words

I was twice to the pub downstairs and enjoyed the good food they served. The kitchen for all the guests is great : big, nice and i found every possible elements i needed to cook. It's very well organised. Thank you for the care you provide o your guests !

Great place comfy beds, friendly relaxed atmosphere, great pub on site. Will be staying again next time in Oban. Stayed in privatw 6 bed room room first night with an ensuite which was immaculate. Then booked a twin room the second night as only 2 of us needed the extra night. No complaints highly recommend.
