Simon & Anna are wonderful hosts, Simon even helped bring in our luggage! We were on the 2nd floor & our room had a stunning view of the water. We were only there one night but wish it had been longer. 2 min walk to downtown & they serve an amazing home cooked breakfast. You will not be sorry if... More

Simon and Anna are perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble and they offered local knowledge. .Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean and a nice touch with the sherry. Lovely views. Good breakfast. Parking is free. Definitely recommend.

We stayed here for 3 nights on a BB basis. This bb is popular, even though we booked a few months earlier, there were no rooms available with a harbour view. Our room was fine, very clean, and it was nice and cosy with the heating on when we arrived. Anna and Simon are great hosts and nothing is too... More

We stayed for one night in this lovely B&B, where Simon the owner could not have been nicer, our room was big, as was the bathroom, and it was very clean and comfortable. It is only a 5 minute walk to the main street or 10 min stroll to the tower. Breakfast was nice, with a choice of cereals or... More

We stayed for two nights and had a wonderful experience. Simon and Anna made us feel very welcome in their home. Our room was large, comfortable and bright and had an amazing view. Simon recommended great activities and restaurants. My husband lost his credit card while we were visiting and Simon went out of his way to help him with... More

We stayed only one night, after returning from Colonsay on the ferry. It was late but Simon, the very congenial co-manager, was there to greet us and help us settle in. Our room and bathroom were both large with lots of charm and some nice touches, such as a little Scottish-English dictionary, tea with biscuits, etc. Breakfast options were extensive... More

Our experience at this property was disgusting and upsetting to say the least. Owners accused us of smoking in our room after 2 nites stay.Totally At breakfast on the 3rd day we were called... More

As a family friendly guest house and out of respect for our other guests we do not tolerate abusive behaviour or repeated disregard for our no smoking in room policies. We thank the local police for their swift assistance in removing these guests from the premises. More

From the moment of our arrival, we could not find fault with the Old Manse Guest House. Hosts Simon and Anna were warm, welcoming and friendly, and happy to share advice about local attractions and restaurants. We had the ground floor room, which does not have a sea view (and we were told this on making the booking) but then... More

We stayed 4 nights at the old manse and as I am writing this I wish we were back there. A real genuine B&B. Welcoming, warm and wonderfully charming are words that best describe Simon and Anna and the building itself. They really make the stay memorable with great local knowledge and by meeting those little needs that a large... More

We stayed for 3 nights mid July. We were made to feel very welcome by Simon and shown to a lovely room at the front of the house with a wonderful view. Spent the evenings looking out at the view. Room large and airy with two chairs positioned in the window to enjoy the view. Spotlessly clean with nice fluffy... More
