Spotlessly clean, beautifully cooked breakfast, amazing views and a warm welcome! Everything you want from a bed and breakfast and on top of that amazing value! Thornloe is just lovely and a real home away from home! The only one point I would note to fellow travellers is that it is positioned quite a distance up the hill and whilst...

My sister and I stayed two nights in a twin room. Delightful fresh room with comfortable beds and thoughtful inclusions such as organic toiletries and sweets. Delicious breakfast and friendly hostess.

Thornloe Guest House is a lovely house, close to the centre of Oban but not on the main road. Our room was very spacious and had fantastic ocean view. En suite was good. Plenty to choose from on the breakfast menu and it was delicious. Highly recommended.

Beautiful view from the house and the place itself is gorgeous as well. Nice host and breakfast was homey. Room is clean and beautiful except that the room we had has quite strong paint/lacquer smell. It was bearable though. I'll still stay here again if I come back.

The room was beautifully turned out and immaculate. Great breakfast. Fantastic views across the bay from the room and dining room. Only a short (though steep) walk to all the restaurants and shops along the harbour front.

Room and accommodations were outstanding. We stayed in room six and enjoyed our stay. The only complaint would be wifi was not good in our room on 3rd floor. A repeater for $100 on 3rd floor would help resolve this. Otherwise one of the nicest places we stayed in Scotland.

We stayed for 3 nights at Thornloe and definitely made a great choice. Val was very welcoming and helpful and showed us to our very spacious room with sea view. The view was stunning and the location was great, a 5 minute walk from the Main Street, George St. The room had ample good points; the bed super comfortable, great...

This was a lovely hotel. Breakfast was filling, rooms were clean and a good size, and the hosts were friendly. In particular, the gluten free sauces and muesli out as standard were a nice touch. However, the views from the terrace are the reason to book. On a nice evening it can't be beat.

Excellent hotel although up a steep road. Room overlooking view of sea and mountains. Really good breakfast. Would have liked a Separate lounge to relax in. There was a terrace but weather needed to be warmer to sit out.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Our Guest lounge is next door to the dining room , sadly the terrace had very little use this week due to terrible weather in Scotland!
