It was getting a bit tense to find some accommodation in the Oban area, either non existent or very expensive, noticed this small hotel , and luckily 2 rooms left , although i had to have a room with no bathroom, which wasn't great after a 500 mile trip , from Connel to Unapool and round Skye, however at £120...

My family and I stayed here for two nights recently. Easy to find, great location and fantastic views from the property. Immediately upon arrival we were given a very warm welcome by Irene who clearly is dedicated to making their guests feel at home. We felt it was really nice that Irene remembered all our names (especially as there were...

This is easy to find (you can't miss it if you enter Oban from the east), has lots of parking available (unlike many other guest houses in Oban), and is within very easy walking of central Oban. The views from the lounge are superb and the warm and friendly hosts have put a lot of effort into modernizing the rooms...

Just spent 4 nights at this very comfortable and well situated guest house. Irene and John are very welcoming hosts and extremely friendly. The breakfasts are excellent and cater for all appetites. Very good parking facilities and excellent views over the bay. We made a good choice when we picked Strathnaver over other guest houses and would definitely recommend it.

Stathnaver Guest House is very conveniently located on the A85 as you enter the outskirts of Oban. There is more than ample parking. We were met by Mrs MacKay and made to feel welcome. Our room, no.7, was comfortable and well equipped. We had a good view over the harbour and across the bay. Although we did not make use...

Given that we have lived in Scotland, visited as a tourist many times, in our experience, the Strathnaver Guest House tops the bill for facilities, comfort, parking and friendliness. Irene is a most gracious host - she made us feel at home; when we left we felt we had made a new friend. The location of the guest house is...

The host was awesome; very accommodating and helpful. The guest lounge has an awesome view. Our room was a bit too small, but we had a great view of the harbor. Easy walk to everything, which is great because parking in Oban was a problem.
