We had an amazing time here. Stayed in many b&b's and hotels and this had the magic touch. Silke and Peter run an exceptional B&B a lovely warm welcome, beautiful grounds and rooms. The extra little touches gave it a special feeling. We will be returning soon, fantastic experience

From our first contact until we left, Peter and Silke made us feel as if we were special guests. The rooms, location and the Arts and Craft house itself, were first class. Breakfasts were spectacular, everything you could wish for, including home baked bread. Excellent cooks, we had dinner there 2 evenings, and all we can say is "Wow". Quirky... More

Our stay was wonderfully relaxing, the rooms delightful, the breakfast a work of art and the welcome was warm. Simply cannot recommend it enough. The house itself is just divine and the excellent hosts made our stay memorable for all the right reasons.

Fabulous house in a secluded location but close to all amenities - beautifully decorated in a period theme - reminded me of an Agatha Christie film set! Wonderful hospitality and food - we will be back .....

We had a lovely stay at Maplehurst, and wish we could have stayed longer. The house and grounds are fabulous and the attention to detail by Peter and Silke is wonderful. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had anywhere! We certainly hope to return in the not too distant future. Andrew and Rosemary.

We loved our stay at Maplehurst. Peter does an amazing job pampering you with a very comfortable room which was well appointed, quiet, with a super comfortable bed. We slept very soundly. The dinner was superb as well as the breakfast. We took a few moments to walk through the lovely garden. We would definitely come back. We then drove... More

A delightful place to stay especially for anyone with an interest in Arts & Crafts. A huge effort has been made to furnish and decorate in keeping with the style of the house. Peter took the time to explain the history of the house when we arrived and the breakfast he prepared was excellent. We only stayed one night on... More

Highly recommend a stay here when visiting the Borders. Peter and Silka are gracious hosts and superb cooks. We had dinner and it was 5-star quality. Breakfast was a feast. The arts and crafts manor house is surrounded by a lovely garden. The bed is comfy with great pillows and fine linens. Wish we'd stayed a week instead of just... More

We booked to stay 4 nights at Maplehurst on a family recommendation and were certainly not disappointed. This place is superb - not only a fabulous Arts and Crafts style house but also very relaxing gardens and comfortable rooms- and it's an excellent base for exploring the Borders and Edinburgh. The star attraction however is the fantastic hospitality provided by... More
