    All our products are locally sourced from suppliers not supermarkets. The tea and coffee we have selected are supplied by Ringtons. We cannot understand your phrase "lacking in choice". I will be asking the chef for comment on the quality which would appear to be lacking on your first morning. Pleased your other days breakfasts were up to the mark. If only visitors would raise concerns whilst at a hotel I am sure visitors would have a better experience.

    We were pleased to see such a fantastic collection of motor vehicles. These can be viewed on our Facebook page. Unfortunately there were staffing problems and a disaster in the kitchen. It did take a little time to recover and produce new food for your meals. We can only apologise again for the slow service and please be assured that we have learnt from the event and a number of procedures and staff have been changed to minimise any problems with service in the future. We have catered for the same and larger groups than yours both before and after the day in question very successfully. We are pleased you found the hotel renovated to a high standard and enjoyed the beautiful grounds. We hope your day ended well for you all and you enjoyed the picturesque scenery of the Scottish borders had been worth the journey.

    Last minute substitute
    We were let down by another establishment but were given a superb room with wonderful disabled facilities and had a wonderful night although we were warned that there was going to be a late night function on. Breakfast was delicious. Grounds are beautiful. We are returning next…

    do you have any ground floor rooms as my husband and myself have mobility problems
    We have a ground floor roof with a wet room built to current “easy access” standards. It allows access into the hotel without steps.
