My husband and I stayed here in July for part the last of our honey moon, and it was so romantic and fun! I've always wanted to stay in one of these beautiful gypsy caravans, so this was a dream come true! If you like "glamping" you will love staying here. There is a mini kitchen equipped with cooking tools,...

Roulotte Retreat is a unique one-of-a-kind luxurious 'caravan' type holiday - I say 'caravan' loosely as the accommodation units are actually all Gypsy style vans, or, more correctly termed, Roulottes. They are located approx ten miles or so from the Borders town of Melrose and can be reached by car quite easily, or, via a taxi service using the local...

Hubby and I stayed at RR for first tuime this weekend, having usually stayed in Melrose town centre. As seasoned campers , this was the luxurious option, as we enjoy outdoor living and fresh air. The cabins are a little tricky to find (ended up in some else's land !) but beautifully positioned in a meadow setting below the village...

We had our elopement at Roulotte Retreat and it couldn't have been more perfect! The roulotte was beautiful and perfectly presented. Everything has been thought of including ample storage space and cooking utensils and crockery. The shower was also excellent - perfect temperature and water pressure. The setting is perfect. It's so tranquil and beautiful. We were so lucky to...

We have just returned from staying at the Roulotte retreat and cannot rate it highly enough. We had a wonderful relaxing stay it is a great place to unwind and escape from reality. The Roulotte had everything we needed with an extremely comfortable bed. It is well worth splashing out on the hot tub as it was a wonderful experience...

Just spent a couple of nights here with my husband. Such a beautiful, relaxed, peaceful, welcoming place. The caravan we stayed in (Zanaya) is beautiful. Set up in such as way as it felt like luxury from the moment we stepped inside. Everything we needed (plates, pans etc) were present, but there were no unnecessary additions (e.g. no clock!) which...

Brill location if you want to switch off and relax. No phone signal or wifi, which is refreshing. Make sure you take board games, books and other forms of entertainment. Nice walk just past the church, never ending fields and beautiful views. Hosts were friendly, make sure you try the eggs. Little kitchen is great, they provide all pots, pans...

This was on my bucket list for years believe it or not and we will certainly be back again. We stayed in the Zenaya with the hot tub and it was wonderful - the total privacy and no distractions ie - no mobile phone signal/internet or television was surprisingly ideal. Alan and Avril are the perfect hosts - meet you...

The gypsy style caravan experience is indeed very magical and the caravans are clean equipped and tidy. When we went to the retreat it was unfortunately very over grown and neglected so looked nothing like the photographs we had seen on the website. The little pond was so over grown we couldn't see it and you couldn't easily wander around...

My partner and I had discussed taking a glamping holiday for some time. We both have a passion for travel and nature but are often limited as to just how far off the beaten track we can go as we both rely on public transport. With glamping becoming so popular, it's also difficult to find somewhere appealing that has availability...
