Thank you for your comments and what a shame you did not mention anything at the time as we are always available for feedback and where feasible can deal with it immediately. Naturally people have different opinions of how certain things should be and so when we sit and talk with guests it is good to be able to discuss these. Where we make mistakes or do not reach the high standards we set ourselves, then it is appreciated that guests tell us so we can adjust and strive to correct errors – on other occasions of course we have to beg to differ. We do hope to welcome you back and demonstrate that where we slipped up we have sorted and it will be good to talk through with you any concerns.

This is the second time we've stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed it again. Great location, amazing rooms, great service and even better food. A real country house feel, very traditional setting. Well kept grounds and walled garden to wander around. Nearby footpath to Peebles

The sharing platters were something new and your verdict and others means it seems to have gone down well. Happy appetites and happy customers is a lovely combination - look out for more sharing to come and thank you so much for dining with us.

I had a two-night stay with dinner and breakfast and stayed in the Rosetta room. The room was huge and the bed and bedding very comfortable, I slept very well. I always take my own hairdryer when I go away because I find hotel hairdryers either take ages to dry my hair because

Yes indeed our suite and 2 of the junior suites are dog friendly - The public rooms are not for our 4 legged companions though, however if the Garden room is available then they may use this lounge. Look forward to welcoming you and your dog[s] Best wishes Jeremy

Hi is your hotel dog friendly?
Yes, certainly. We do allow dogs in the bedrooms but not in the public rooms like the restaurant. Thanks for your interest in Cringletie. Jacob.

Hi, yes we have a Spa Cottage, about 100m from the main House. It has two en-suite bedrooms and a large common lounge, a large outside deck with Hot Tub and ample seating space. The sofa in the Lounge can be converted to a double bed, so in total the Cottage can sleep six adults. Our guests take breakfast in the Restaurant of the main House, and also dinner. The price of the Spa cottage is for two people sharing one of the two bedrooms is the same as the price of the Suite in the main House. For additional guests the additional charge is £50 per person per night. I trust this answers your questions, but please feel free to phone or email for any further questions you may have. Or to book! Jacob van Houdt
