Welcome to The Gordon Arms, an old coaching Inn nestling in the Yarrow Valley in the Scottish Borders. It was a favourite haunt of James Hogg, Sir Walter Scott and even Robert Burns was said to have stopped here. Now it is well known for its Traditional Music & Real Ale, and a warm welcome to walkers, cyclists and all other visitors to the area.

The owners and staff could not have been more welcoming and helpful to us as we stayed here while walking the southern upland way. They were immensely flexible about pick up times from St marys Loch and really helpful about breakfast and lunch which gave us an early start. Dinner was superb and the room was very comfortable with nice touches like the china tea cups (very civilized when tramping along the SUW). Can't recommend it highly enough and we left very happy and refreshed

Thought my sat nav was getting me lost as your in the middle of nowhere with rolling hills all around! But what a gem of a place, very warm welcome from all staff, nothing too much trouble. It was lovely and clean throughout with a lovely atmosphere downstairs.

A telephone conversation that allowed the right time for us to visit with 3 dogs. Great corner table set aside for us. The Gordon Arms was immaculately clean. The service was excellent and the pub had a good buzz and vibes. This is an excellently run establishment. Looking forward to many more visits. Theres a menu I want to eat through. All covid precautions taken by them.
