Room was very clean and tidy and a decent size and very quite. Everything provided that you required. Two minute walk to train station. Ten minute walk to town center where you will find a good choice of coffee shops, restaurants and bars .Plenty of safe parking at hotel. Terry & Lynne were great hosts and couldn't do enough. Covid 19 measures all in place.

Stayed here for one night whilst on a motorcycling trip. Terry & Lyn are great hosts and have worked so hard to allow them to re-open in these difficult times. All areas of the hotel are absolutely spotless, there are hand sanitisers and wipes in abundance in every room. There is plenty of room to be able to keep your distance in both the bar and the dining room. Also plenty of space to sit outside if you prefer. Beautifully cooked breakfast set us up perfectly for the ride back home. Will definitely be back, fingers crossed it will be in better times.

Had a great time in Dumfries and travelled out a little to go for a nice walk. Couple who own the hotel are very friendly and will bend over backwards for you. We stayed in a double room and found the bed very hard and quite small. The room was so small, it didn’t have any chairs to sit on when in the room. Bathroom very spacious with a shower which did its job. Tea and coffee provided in the room. Bar is very expensive tho. We put our drinks on a fab, not thinking to ask the price and it turned out £3.10 for a small bottle of Stella. Had I known that, I wouldn’t have been drinking it. Place is very very clean and the breakfast is beautiful. Not having chairs Was mentioned on check out and he did say, he would’ve moved my room if I’d mentioned it straight away. Would I go back and stay again? Yes but in a different room and wouldn’t drink in the bar.
