We recently stayed at this wonderful hostel and it was an absolute pleasure to stay there from the beginning until the end. The staff are extremely helpful and courteous and the lodgings are well presented and affordable. If you love the great outdoors and the feeling of being in the nature, you will love this resort. The hotel owner (Pam)...

We stayed here for a mountain biking weekend. The location is great, being in the middle of the forest on the side of the hill. I know some people have camped here and used the round house and thought it was fine. We stayed in the bunk barn and it was poor. I've stayed in many bunk barns and am...

Cleanliness - The rooms are damp and the only good point are that the lights don't work so you can't see the mold in the room. Location - Not clearly sign posted and not suited for road cyclists after a 3km gravel hill. Service - Pam was pleasant enough. Value - Most expensive and worst hostel I stayed in. Very...

I'm so sad my hen weekend is over at Marthrown, it was amazing from start to finish and everyone had an absolute ball. We took over most of the site with the exception of one bunkhouse, 28 of us stayed over in total. We had a full moon themed party in the round house on the Friday night then sat...

I really cannot fault the place. I was camping and the natural woodland makes you feel like you are properly wild camping, but with the convenience of a laundry room, cooking area and fire warmed hit-tub! The location is amazing for mountain biking around the western 7 Stanes is all easily accessible from Marthrown. I will be going again. Next...

Just back from the long Easter weekend break...3 nights spent at the Marthrown of Mabie celebrating the wedding of two very good friends! What a perfect location to celebrate the joining of two people. The couple had booked the whole site and having exclusive use of the site was perfect. We camped in the forest and the facilities were great...composting...

We got married at Marthrown in June and, despite the weather and midges best efforts, had a wonderful time. Our guests are still raving about it! Marthrown provides a wonderful canvas for you to create your dream wedding. We made a 3 day event of it where everyone pitched in to 'dress' the venue on the first day - it...

We had been very excited about our family visit to this campsite, which is in a great location in the forest. Unfortunately on our second night there a number of parties there including a large stag party. The party brought large sound system and played dance music all night, it was till going when we got up. Because of the...

We love Marthrown. We stayed in the tipi this year and the yurt last year. What we like about it is that the tipi and yurt are sited away from other people so you can really relax. The owners could easily have put in lots of yurts and tipi's but have kept their place special...so thank you for this. Mike...
