We chose The Cally Palace for a four night New Year stay. It offered what we were looking for - no disco and adults only. We had never been to Scotland for New Year so were looking forward to something different. What we got did not disappoint at all. The drive up to the hotel

What can I say it keeps getting better and better. Every member of the team at the Cally looked after us with aplomb and dedication with attention to detail and nothing was too much for any of the team from Josephine through to KIrsty and all the girls on the front desk on

I recently visited Cally Palace as part of their Christmas Package with my family and dogs. I enjoyed my 4 night stay- the hotel was comfortable and pleasant although the decor is rather dated and old-fashioned in my opinion as a younger visitor. My room was clean and cosy and

Just had a couple of days at Cally Palace. Excellent hotel, nice/spacious room, really friendly staff. The food was really confused! Dinner is too pretentious....too much fancy presentation, but portion size poor, quality disappointing and not really delivering what the

We had sparkling tea vouchers brought for us a few months ago. We booked for a midweek tea! It did not disappoint. The ornate 17th century living room was wonderful and the sandwiches and cakes were a delight.

Sorry I don't know but the staff are extremely knowledgeable, and I'd be surprised if they weren't able to help you.

As per another reviewer this probably too late for you but yes the Cally can cater for kids from either the fixed menu or the kids one, they will adapt for your needs

Do you take dogs?
When I visited a couple of weeks ago there were at least three dogs there. The hotel seems to be more than happy to accept well behaved dogs, the walks are wonderful. They can't be left alone in the rooms, I think there had been "an incident" when the chambermaid tried to clean the room.

I've stayed in both the deluxe and forest wing with balcony rooms. The deluxe we had was at the top (circle window) with wonderful views, but the room was very warm in November and the bathroom was a throw back from the sixties albeit very large. We had either a king or double size bed which was situated in an alcove, and felt a bit cramped, but there was a sitting room if u wanted to watch TV. The forest wing is more modern, the room we had was a family room even though only 2 of us. It was very spacious with lovely views over the golf course at the back of hotel. Bathroom was basic. Perhaps the four poster deluxe rooms are better, but we haven't seen these other than photos. When we go again ( which we will as evening meals are fabulous) I'd choose forest balcony room - top floor.
