We stayed here for 5 nights during September 2020. Location is on the edge of Kirkcudbright with a short (roughly half a mile) walk into the centre of Kirkcudbright. Parking is available on site and we stayed in a spacious double room overlooking the river and surrounding hills. Our room contained a large (king size) bed, tv, fridge, tea & coffee facilities, plenty of storage, two armchairs, bathroom with large shower. The facility is owned and ran by the very friendly Ian and Jackie. It was the friendliness and attention to detail that placed this accommodation head and shoulders above the norm. The rooms were immaculately and tastefully decorated, they were cleaned every day (during increased COVID regulations and despite many other hotels and B & B's now suggesting that this was not possible due to the new guidance), home-made biscuits were replenished daily along with tea/coffee etc, the breakfasts (cereals/porridge/full English/smoked salmon/toast/juices etc) were made using the best quality ingredients and were cooked to perfection. After we had been in the room for about fifteen minutes we felt as if we were at home. We would definitely stay here again.…
Have just returned from a four night stay here. The room was huge with everything you could possibly need, including a fridge in the room. It was super clean with a great view over the river Dee. Our host Ian was friendly and happy to chat and his wife, Jackie, produced lovely breakfasts. Plenty of choice, well cooked, what more could you ask for. It’s a short walk into Kirkcudbright, mainly flat but with a slight incline to and from the B&B. Would stay again if I was in the area.
Booked for my mum to stay 3 night the room was lovely and the breakfast first class. She was mad to feel comfortable as she was staying alone. The view from her room looked across the River Dee. Would highly recommend
Stopped for one night on way to Irish ferry. The photos do not do the accomodationjustice. The room is absolutely first class and everything has been thought off for the comfort of guests. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Breakfast was beautifully cooked and very generous.
The Dee View owners give a great deal of thought to their guests needs. Breakfast is an excellent experience. Our bedroom was spacious with first class facilities. The view from window looks down to the rIver Dee.
