Not just any hotel, but one of the best I've visited in a very long time. From the welcoming, friendly and professional staff and warm ambience in the Bar to the really impressive food combining imaginative presentation and ingredients served in the Bistro/ Restaurant. Our twin bedded room was lovely with well designed en-suite. A very pleasant experience which made...

A great hotel with superb staff who go the extra mile for you. The staff are a great asset. Breakfasts were very good indeed with a great selection. The food is cooked to order and there is plenty tea, coffee etc. Worth a stay.

A very well run hotel with an excellent restaurant. Our room was spotless and well appointed, the staff were very friendly and efficient, the meals in the restaurant were superb, reasonably priced for the quality and served in either the formal restaurant or the more relaxed bistro/bar. We knew we would like it on first sight of the sparkling glasses-...

Standard type of small town hotel restaurant with very high service standard. Traditional dishes with fancy twiddly bits but not scary for the older diner. Lighting bright and decor stark but no carpet so good for walkers, proper separTedisabled toilet. Would recommend for a treat on holiday.

We are in the restaurant on the first and last nights of our stay and have to say that the food was some the best...

What's not to like? As soon as you enter, you know you are going to be treated special. The professionalism of all the staff is second to none. We indulged ourselves by ordering the very excellent beer "The Grace", which was originally brewed for "The Selkirk Arms Hotel". Excellent. We had king scallops which were fantastic. I then had a...

We had a cozy suite right in the garden of the Hotel, freshly refurbished, good matrass, very clean, quiet place. Great restaurant. Pet friendly hotel, with one restriction no dogs in the restaurant, but you can take them to the pub and salon. Best service from personal and staff of hotel & restaurant. Stayed here before, and will stay again...
