Welcoming, friendly hosts, lovely home in central location. Lots to explore in the region: colorful town, great hikes, art. Olive's breakfasts were outstanding. Comfortable room with private bath, shower. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

We stayed at Anchorlee for three days in September, and can highly recommend it. It is a charming Victorian house, with large comfortable rooms, and great breakfasts cooked to order by Olive, the owner. Kirkcudbright is a great base for exploring Dumfries and Galloway, and a lovely little town in its own right with good places to eat and interesting sites.

We were greeted with a very warm welcome by Olive and Alistair. The room was warm and cosy with everything we needed. There was a fridge on the landing with fresh milk which we used to make teas and coffees in our room. The breakfasts were plentiful and delicious. Should we be in the area again, we will not hesitate to ask Olive and Alistair if we may stay there again. The nearby Selkirk Arms serve excellent evening meals.

A quiet and picturesque harbour town B&B that is close to the center of town. The room was delightful with a very comfortable bed and shower. There are gardens out back where you can sit and relax after a day of sightseeing. Olive is a wonderful hostess that looks after all details. This is a perfect place to explore the Dumfries and Galloway area.

Only stayed for one night on a motorcycle tour but wished we had stayed longer....!The accommodation is really comfortable and the owner is very welcoming and friendly. To top it off the breakfast was fabulous. We will certainly go back to Anchorlee next time we are tour in the. area. Thank you for a great stay.
