We booked the Woodlands for our wedding and was not left dissapointed. We had our wedding here on 29th September, surrounded with friends and family and everyone has had nothing but compliments on how our day went. Fantastic food at the wedding and the following morning, comfortable beds and friendly staff, especially Lynn Coleman, an asset to any team, always had a smile! Recommend Woodlands to anyone, especially for being understanding with everything that also comes with organising a wedding. Top marks.

We stayed for 2 x nights to attend a wedding (that was elsewhere) The room was large, the bed really comfortable and the bedding of good quality. The room and lovely en suite were very clean and well stocked. There was an iron and board, a hairdryer and dressing table plus plenty hangers in wardrobe. Due to location it was so quiet and peaceful allowing a great nights sleep. We noticed on the 2nd night when we came back from our wedding that there was also a wedding on at the hotel and I was bit concerned re potential noise - didn’t hear a thing 😊 The communication ahead of arrival was so professional and friendly (by now most will probably surmise used to be in the business and therefore well aware of the rights and wrongs!) We hadn’t planned to but chose to have breakfast there on our last day and we were greeted by really lovely respectful host who (unlike a lot of places) didn’t look bored he guided us through the procedure and gave us the (genuine) impression that he cared and followed a lovely cooked breakfast with all the trimmings but over and above offered to have eggs done fresh - that is such a plus.. The room and breakfast rate were really good and if in centre of a city would be tripled for sure. Would absolutely recommend and will return without a doubt. Thanks to all! …

Lovely hotel, lovely staff, Breakfast was fab and great choices to suit all appetites. Room very clean & spacious as was the rest of the hotel. Point of note the bedrooms are very warm so ensure you have windows on vents even with the radiator turned down. Good parking facilities, hotel is set back from the road so very quiet. We ate in the restaurant on the Friday night and food was good, freshly cooked and accommodated our requests.

I love staying here. The staff are always so friendly and special mention to Angie who is always nice and chatty and has great knowledge of this area if you want tips on where to go etc. The kitchen has always delivered for me I’ve had two of the best meals I’ve had at any best western hotel I’ve stayed at here. The breakfast is really well stocked too Finally the rooms are big and clean the hotel is really quite too I consistently choose this hotel and would recommend it to anyone. :)

We had a wee girlie trip away for an overnight here recently, an ideal spot for meeting up between Edinburgh and Aberdeen. We booked double rooms but got the opportunity to bid for an upgrade to king sized rooms which was ideal after booking. The hotel was clean and comfortable, the reception area and lounge bar were grand & staff were extremely friendly in particular Angie in the bar. There is ample free parking on site which is ideal as you can park up ¬ have to think about the car again. The hotel is about a 20/25min out of Broughty Ferry so we took a taxi there and back as Storm CIARAN was raging outside. Lots of nice restaurants and boutiques in town so we were able to wander around and take advantage of the area. We didn’t use the spa facilities but had a breakfast the following morning which was plentiful. All in all we had a lovely stay and would definitely return for future meet ups. Thanks…

Paid for an upgraded room wish I had not bothered. The room when we got there was huge more like a suite then: Opened cupboard to fine two pint carton of milk and cereal and yogurt pot. Too of radiator cover broken Curtain hanging off pole Bathroom was lovely but only sludge coloured shower gel no other toiletry products. Took milk to reception to be told they would look into it. Breakfast good staff lovely as were bar staff, On checkout two days later I pointed out still waiting on apology re milk etc the response was the manager us on holiday but they would let them know 🤷♀️ not the response I was expecting.

We were invited to a wedding here and I felt I had to leave a review. Everything was perfect. We paid extra to access the room from 12pm instead of 4pm and it was ready as soon as we arrived The chap on reception was very welcoming. . The extra chair in the room is an added bonus as quite often hotels only have one chair. The room itself was clean and it was also quiet. I slept very well and breakfast the next morning was delicious. As regards to the staff, from bar staff and waiting staff at the wedding to the staff in the morning at breakfast , they were all really cheerful and really pleasant and helpful. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for having us.

I recently stayed at this hotel for two nights with my daughter and 4 year old grandson. The hotel is listed as a 3-star hotel but it has a 5 star heart. The hotel decor is a little bit tired but it makes up for it with how clean it is. The rooms are spacious and airy. Along with the restaurant and the bar area all of which were spotless. The linen was fresh daily and extra towels were provided for the pool. Many hotels list family-friendly but that really only means facilities. This hotel is the best family-friendly I have ever been to. The management and the staff make this hotel the wee gem it is nothing too much bother and smiling faces greet you. My Grandson was well received by all the staff and they went out of their way to chat to him. This family gives them 5 stars and without a doubt, we will be back...Oh, and the brekkie and evening meals were fab and my grandson who is 4 didn't want to leave. I got caught with storm Babet and got as far as Dundee. Immediately went to Woodlands hotel Broughty Ferry as I knew it was a homely, comfortable, friendly hotel which is exactly what i needed. I've been in the past and it never lets me down. Arrived at 7am and Julie in a blink booked me into a lovely room. I ended being there for 2nights as the storm continued and roads north were closed. The staff could not have been nicer and so helpful. I was charged for room only which was so kind and most appreciated. I can't thank you enough for my home from home for a couple of nights. X
