Never been to Dundee before but hotel was very easy to find (with the help of my satnav.) Situated in the city centre & has free parking. Hotel is old but lovely. Room was clean, bed comfy with tea/coffee facilities. Staff were really nice and helpful. I would stay at this hotel again but not in the same room (no 216 i think) as I got very little sleep both nights for the washing machine /tumble dryer going all night. If it hadn't been for that I would have given the hotel 5/5.

My friend and I stayed for 2 nights from Monday 18th July, we found the staff all very helpful and friendly and in particular Kim on reception who went out of her way to help us and make sure we were comfortable on the hottest day of the year so far. Nothing was to much trouble and she is a credit to the best western group. The room attendant also went above and beyond the call of duty by locating a fan for us, my friend was most grateful as she had just finished 7 months of chemotherapy.

We stayed here on a 3 night B&B break. All the staff that we encountered were really nice (especially the lady who was on breakfast duties) and nothing was too much trouble for them. The room that we had was on the top floor, it was very clean and spacious with lovely views from the window. Breakfast was really nice and fresh with a good hot selection. The hotel itself is a lovely old building with lots of Character. It is in a fantastic central location and great for visiting all the wonderful places of interest that Dundee has to offer! We would definitely recommend this hotel and we would not hesitate to stay again.

Booked this hotel through “my hotel breaks.com” on a B&B basis. When we arrived the reception staff were very helpful at check-in and we had free parking for 24 hours. Room was big bright with en-suite and plenty of storage. There are enough portals for mobile phones and lights for reading. The bed was very comfortable and we both had a good nights sleep. We were able to have a coffee with biscuits first thing before going down stairs for breakfast. The breakfast room is light and airy and the breakfast food was lovely, staff were so helpful and attentive in the breakfast room and we both had plenty to eat before setting off for a day in Dundee and Broughty ferry. Thank you Queens Hotel we will be back 😀

We met Eddie the night porter we had such a laugh with him a Scottish man who lived in Dublin then dubai and back to dubai very funny man and a apleasure to talk to he left us a note the next morning after our chats with recommendations of where to eat

Only booked in for one night. On arrival met a member of staff escorting a women out the back door and from what we could see, she had a “costume” in her bag! Check in was quick and easy. A bit surprised the hotel had taken the full payment for the 3 rooms booked before we arrived even though it was payable on arrival. Rooms were a bit tired but adequate for the night. There was no food available in the hotel but they were able to provide recommendations or cutlery if we wanted to eat in. As the hotel is in the middle of the Nethergate, it is really noisy at night and it took a while to get off to sleep. Breakfast was a separate charge and at £10, really good value.

For £78 for one night, excluding breakfast, it was very run down. The grout in the bathroom was dirty, along with some tiles. The bedroom had damp patches on the ceiling all the furniture was shabby and old fashioned. There was dirt behind the bathroom door, lack of attention to detail cleaning. The bar and restaurant were shut the night we arrived. The view was amazing. The bed was comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. Staff were friendly at check in and out.

Would like to say that from start to finish the service has been unbelievable would defo recommend this hotel. Kim at reception knows how to to treat customers very friendly and very informative of any questions asked shout out kim. All hotels should have a kim.

Nice clean hotel.handy location.decent sized rooms.nice bar to chill out in and have a few drinks.first time in Dundee so picked a hotel that was in the centre.easy access and was big enough for me.nice clean rooms also.didn’t have the breakfast though as I was too hungover.
