Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great friendly staff, its a bit tiered in places but overall a clean and friendly hotel. We have stayed over 10 times to visit family and never had a problem. It is close to all amenities for us visiting and town centr.

The hotel was shabby, grubby, tired and felt a little scary. Staff were friendly. My room had cobwebs from the ceiling, no hand washing soap in toilet and toilet roll holders were hanging off walls. Cigarrette butts at main entrance all over and walk from car was over muddy pathways.

We stayed there in a double room. It was clean and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We were pleased to be able to have breakfast the next day before leaving too. A reasonable price for staying the night.

Do not stay here. The room looked like a prison cell and was cold despite having a radiator. The breakfast was cold and overcooked. No staff around to complain to and when checking in took 15 mins for someone to turn up.

Sadly this place lets travel lodge down! I am aware it is a budget hotel chain but this was the worst one I have been in. Very old building which I believe was a care home. Think they just need to shut this down as it’s needing loads of money spent on it. Outside is in need of pain or roughcasting! Windows are old and chipping away. Hallways are smelly and carpets are dirty. Room was clean tho strange smell. 2 main plug sockets and a extension cord! Lift was dirty and smelly. Room was melting so no idea what it’s like summer. Reception staff member was nice enough so not his fault it’s a dump. Sadly booked a 2 night trip in Blackpool in a travel lodge in the saver rate so money down the pan! If you go to Dundee spend a bit more and get something nicer.

Location is decent as it's only a five minute walk away from the centre. Manager is class here and the staff are friendly. Regarding the room, it's comfortable, spacious, and clean. Parking infront of the building. All positive and happy. Will book again in future.
