Thee Best Caravan Park in Scotland in my tuppenceworth, the grounds are always beautiful, so well kept, with a wonderful selection of shrubs and flowers. Facilities immaculate, with lovely warm showers. There is wifi available on the park but who wants wifi with those gorgeous views. Needing time out away from the little people, this is the park for you as it is now adult only, which I know, makes a lot of big people smile. There is lots to do in the area, lots of places to eat and shop and of course golf. We have been going here for 8 seasons now and honestly we rarely visit another park, just so spoilt at Riverview nothing else comes close. Don't just take my word for it, get yourself booked in and experience it, you will not regret it, you too will become addicted like us. Happy Caravaning.

Our 2nd time here and it was fabulous again. Warm welcome and lovely flat pitches; nice gravel which your sun canopy pegs can go into without bother. We had a lovely hedge dividing us. The grounds are immaculate but really pretty all the colours of the planting. You're 2 minutes to the beach one way and 2 minutes to the shops the other. There is Tesco, Farmfoods, Chippy, Chinese and Indian all within a few minutes walk. There's a lovely veg prep area on site which includes washing machines and dryers. We were only away for 2 nights but my machine at home has just broken so a bit weird but took my washing with me! It was £4 (pound coins only) and was finished by the time we'd packed up. Only an hour from home so hung out when I got back. The beach is gorgeous too and I was actually in, proper swimming in a bikini yesterday. We got the best strawberries just a few minutes drive up the road. Thank for the most fantastic weekend 20 odd degrees in Scotland in September certainly helps but just loved it!

Stayed here in our motorhome for a long weekend. Nothing to find fault with whatsoever. Great location next to the beach and for walking to Carnoustie in one direction and Broughty Ferry in the other. Warm welcome on arrival, facilities clean, plenty hot water and nicely laid out. We will return. Couple of pubs just up the road and shops, including a Tesco Express.

Caravan site is immaculate and staff are very friendly and helpful. The toilet block is very clean and showers are great. The perfect location to relax, we will definitely visit again soon. Bus service in Monifieth is great and only £4.00 for an adult day ticket.

the site was brilliant, on the beach just two minutes from the sand, 5 minutes to the town center with great shops n bars. the pitch was really nice, spacious, nice 6ft hedge separating you from other pitches. facility was spotless. really friendly. the showers, toilet, dish washing, laundry all great. would have been 5 star if there had been water at the pitch rather than only reception, so if tank ran low you have to move the van to top up, but that really is the only down side of what is a fantastic caravan park. we were in our Motor-home.

Was accommodated as a last minute booking for three nights. Was given a warm welcome by very friendly lady on reception desk (Carol?) and shown to my lovely pitch. Site is stunning and amongst the cleanest I’ve ever seen. Big thank you to all who work hard on the site and look forward to being back soon

This used to be a small friendly caravan site, well it has certainly changed!! Advertised on website as adult only site but has a picture of a woman with young boy. We had booked for 3 nights, my son and my granddaughter came to visit. We had a walk on the beach, back at caravan for lunch, maybe 1 hour maximum then went to the wonderful play area just over the road from the caravan site. While at the park, I received a phone call from a very rude woman, asking if we had a child with us. I told her my granddaughter had come to visit, then she told me not to take her back onto the caravan site as there had been complaints! My granddaughter is only 4 years old, she has Down’s syndrome and loves coming to visit us in our caravan. She doesn’t speak much so was not a nuisance to anyone. Adults only site, I can understand but to be spoken to the way we were, was ridiculous we put up with neighbours who had parked their caravan at wrong side of pitch, so were only about 4ft away from us. The noise they made was unbelievable, and they had a teenager with them. Also a dog which barked every time someone walked passed. My fiancé spoke with a young lad in toilet block, who was only 15 years old. So it seems rules are only when it suits. We will definitely not be back to this site

This does not appear to be a adult only site. I noticed the static caravans booking allow children. I questioned this was my answer. We are 100% children free in our touring side. The statics still have 3-4 grandchildren coming every now and then. This will be phased out in due course. However, children are not allowed to play on the park. And they have to be escorted on and off it by the adult. I’m not saying you won’t see children but they will not bother you in anyway.however if u look at the site map has statics mixed with tourers

Response from Ian Hosea, Owner at Riverview Caravan Park
Responded 14 Jun 2023
I think you have the wrong park? Riverview Caravan Park does not hire currently hire holiday homes out and none are available to be booked on the website - all the holiday homes are privately owned. We are looking at this at the moment where we start hiring one or two of our lodges, however, if and when this happens, this will be for adult only bookings. On the Touring side of things, we are 100% adult only and do not allow children to be brought on to the park in touring caravans and motorhomes - again you cannot book to bring children online.

Very good caravan site for tourers. Facilities are clean and well looked after. Only comment I would have is that there are no seats available in the showering facility. I found it rather awkward to put on socks or shoes.
