well what can i say. riverview is a small well maintained family run site, it boasts beautiful sea views with a gorgeous beach just the other side of a fence, good sized pitches a mixture of holiday homes and tourers. no tents, free no hastle wifi, cant comment on facilities which were still closed due to the covid pandemic, again no children allowed due to pandemic.
good Rail link to Aberdeen or Dundee , station a 5 min walk from park.
easy access to local shops again only mins from park, great walk way along the shore to Broughty ferry, Already planning another trip there. At £56 for 2 nights with electric hook up and awning well worth it

We have just spent 3 days at this little gem of a site . It is in a superb location , it is virtually on the beach and has a great cyclepath / walkway all the way into Broughty Ferry , well worth visiting by the way . The park itself is kept immaculate , beautifully landscaped , we cannot comment on toilet facilities as they were in the process of getting all the certification required in place , and said this may take another couple of weeks , we were made aware of this when booking and upon arrival , we were also made aware of it now being an adults only site when booking , we did worry this might mean noisy drunk adults , but it is the opposite , it was the most peaceful and quiet site we have ever visited , we have already booked up again for august 😁

This is a favourite site of ours and have been visiting here for a while. It’s a shame it’s now adults only as grandchildren love it here although children still on site? Great for walks on the beach and grounds are kept spotless with flowers and water features everywhere. Only thing that spoils it for me this visit is the tacky flags and pennants some people think they need to have attached to their caravans. Spoils the look and not 5 *.

Just back from a 3 night short break at the park in our wee tourer, i am biased as i love this park, the grounds are beautiful, it is 5 star awarded, other patrons are friendly and the facilities immaculate, the park was full and yet not a noise could be heard after quiet time, which made it perfect for relaxation. This park is family owned and run. Locally there is a Tesco, Farmfoods, chinese, chipshop and other shops all within walking distance of the park, 5 min walk gets you a bus into Dundee if you want to explore further a field. No need though with the gorgeous sandy beach just over the hedge and down the path via a gate from the site. Please do not just take my word for it take yourself off on a beautiful relaxing trip you can book via their online booking service, not allowed to put the link in here, but you will find it on their website page, if you are thinking of September weekends i'd be hyper fast, this gorgeous gem of a park fills fast, thank you Riverview for having us, we will be back,.

We (myself, hubby, dog) decided to ring last minute last Sunday to see if we could be accommodated with our tourer and to our surprise and happiness we got a pitch. This is Thee best caravan park in Angus/Dundee/Tayside in my humble opinion. The facilities are immaculate, always a warm welcome, and the grounds, oh my gosh, they are tropical in colour and scent, please do not just take my word for it, book a pitch and see for yourself, the relaxation is heightened by the fact the park is now adult only, so you really can relax and chillax in tranquil beautiful surroundings, access to the beach from the park weather permitting of course, weather not playing ball, take yourself off exploring Dundee or Arbroath. We can not say enough good things about Riverview, you really do have to book and see for yourself. Enjoy your stay when you do get a pitch, take a deep breath close your eyes and you will be transported to paradise. :)

Perfect location on the beach at Monifieth. Great welcome and given loads of local information. Great pitch and facilities are spotless and never any queues, loads of hot water.
We sampled the chippy, Chinese and Indian takeaways, all huge portions and really great quality. Tesco 5 mins walk waway.
Lovely beach path walk to Broughty Ferry which has lovely shops and eating places that are dog friendly.
We will be back and will book early to get a beach front pitch with sea view.

We absolutely love this site. It’s set right on the boardwalk with some pitches overlooking the beach itself and most others having privacy hedges. It is absolutely immaculately maintained with clearly marked pitches, well tended grass, perfectly clipped hedging, colourful flower beds and pristine facilities. The sound of songbirds singing in the trees and fat bumble bees buzzing around the hedges is so relaxing! A short walk to the train station and a few minutes on the train and you’re in Broughty Ferry or Dundee in one direction and Carnoustie or Arbroath in the other. It’s the one site that we always wish we could stay longer. We will definitely return in the summer, one trip to this site simply isn’t enough. Love it! ❤️

We absolutely loved this campsite. Beautiful well looked after grounds, with an abundance of flowers, hedges and shrubs. The site is perfectly positioned between the beautiful beach and the town which is handy for shops, take aways, pubs etc. Our son (25yrs old) dislocated his shoulder at the beach and the sight owner very kindly offered to take him and his dad to the hospital in Dundee and then returned for them to bring back to the campsite which we are extremely grateful. We have been camping, caravaning and motorhoming for 20yrs and riverview caravan site one of the best... Can't wait to go back xxx

This is a lovely caravan site with friendly staff and very clean facilities. Pitches are a good size and some have fantastic views to the beach. I like the fact the website notes the pitch numbers and their location. Most caravan sites have a map which shows location but listing the actual pitch numbers is excellent.

We were asked by someone next to us, not the staff, to be aware of the fact that there should be no noise after 10pm, which was fair enough, we did have music playing the previous night.

I would definitely recommend and will be back to visit soon.

Lovely caravan site in a great position with straight access to the beach. Wardens were really lovely and very helpful as a last minute hospital appointment caused me to have to change my day of arrival but nothing was too much trouble. Can’t wait to return in August.

Highly recommend

I think it is probably the higher. It used to be a lower one as we had problems several years ago but our new caravan draws all sorts of power and we've never had a problem in the last 3 years.
