Room was a bit dated. Some holes in the wall needing fixed and a coat of paint wouldn't go amiss. Room was clean though and suited our needs. Staff were friendly. We stayed for one night for a funeral and left very early in the morning to drive home for work and they were fine with that.

Recently had a wedding party here and decorated the function suite, which looked very nice after some effort, however, I was very disappointed by the staff. I needed to poke them at every point in the evening to do their jobs. I ended up cleaning up some of the rubbish from outside and inside from the previous party and had...

We booked a last minute break to Scotland and chose the Panmure mainly based on cost and location. The hotel may have been lovely in the past but it is in dire need of investment. No headboards, mismatched soft furnishings, everything has been done cheaply and badly. The beds were so uncomfortable, we have come home more tired than when...

Last stayed there overnight 10 years ago - then basic but adequate for one night Stayed overnight recently - bad experience ++ Spent over 15 minutes at reception attempting to check in whilst barman/waiter tried to sort out a double booking problem with couple ahead of us - struggled with the computer booking system and eventually signed room to the...

Booked the hotel for an after funeral buffet. Food was excellent, fresh and hot. The menu was limited but they did items not on the list and the home baking for the cakes was fabulous. Staff friendly. Yes the hotel needs a lick of paint and some TLC but we could not fault the service, with friendly staff and excellent...

The hotel is set in pleasant gardens and the dining area is an add on conservatory which allows views of the them. Unfortunately the lay out of the tables means that quite a number of the diners are either facing an interior wall and doorway or a pretty unattractive car park. A poor start when we were told that we...

We stayed 3 nights last weekend with our dogs in the double delux room which is a great size. Overalll the hotel could do with a lick of paint but its is clean and the staff are very helpful and friendly which more than makes up for tired decor. Food

Arrived at 2pm Sunday afternoon, only another 2 tables occupied, we decided to sit in the Conservatory area; tables needed a good clean as they were rather sticky. Drinks and food order taken from a friendly waitress, food did take time to arrive and didn't have any cutlery when it did had to wait on this. I had the Aberdeen...

Stayed on a Saturday night with the wife. We were booked in a twin but the manager got us a swap to a double (room 3).Also booked us a taxi into Dundee. Bar is pretty good, watched the Euros on the big TV. The wife went to bed early and said the room could've done with soundproofing in the floor...

The hotel does need a bit of tlc however what it lacks on that, the staff (Ross) make up for it,he seamed the only one there. This place has great potential and there is a new owner in place .It might not be to everyone's taste but try it ,you might just be surprised
