The River Tay is right in front of the hotel, and a great stay is stretching out ahead of you too, at Premier Inn Dundee Centre. We're just five minutes walk from all the shops, and close to the lively concerts at Slessor Gardens on the waterfront too. Scott's Discovery Ship is waiting for you in the harbour, and there are plenty of other discoveries to be made. What about a round of golf at legendary St Andrews? Or a fascinating trip to the Sensation Science Centre? If you’re looking to explore the lowlands while you’re here, there’s also great transport links get you there in no time. Then come back for some delicious food in our Beefeater restaurant and a great night's sleep in our extra-comfy beds.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have stayed in this hotel many times and this wasn’t one of our best stays. I emailed the week before and asked if we could possibly have a walk in shower and looking out on the river. I was assured we could have both but when we checked in ( after a 30 minute wait in a queue), we were given a room with a wet room on the ground floor looking out at a large van right in front of our window for the whole three nights and the laundry van dropping off and picking up. Our daughter and 6 year old grandchild were coming to stay our middle night, and I asked if they could have a room near to us and this was done, which was great. We ate in the restaurant several times during our stay. The breakfasts were excellent but the dinners, starters in particular were not to our taste. We went to the bar, on the Sunday evening for a nightcap, had just ordered our drinks and the bar person announced last orders. This was 8.50pm. We took our drinks to our room. This happened again on the Tuesday evening.

Over 30 mins to q and checkin , unhelpful staff , no couch to sit on in the room , apparently they are being replaced .. so replace them, eventually got a room with a couch . Staff were unhelpful and not welcoming , really just couldn’t be bothered. Carpets in corridor were frayed and needing vacuum. To top it off , a fire alarm sound in our room at 0720, a good night guaranteed, definitely not .. next time I’ll go elsewhere .. air conditioning which made noise but gave nothing out , so uncomfortable warm night

Lovely staff, and helpful, but ... my grilled chicken was definitely not grilled (it was wet, limp and grey) and came without the side I'd ordered. My drink didn't arrive after two requests spanning half an hour. The hall door outside kept crashing. The wi-fi was unable to stream any movie. Joggers could see into my room; it was however a nice view.

The rooms were clean with a pleasant outlook. Breakfast was very good. We were not so pleased with the evening meal the nights before. It took a few minutes to realise the safety features. We enjoyed our stay!

stay was lovely until the last night, we asked for our room to be cleaned in the morning and was told it would be done so we stripped the beds for them. We come back at 4pm to the rooms not been done and was told someone would be up to do it. Hours later and it still wasn’t done only to be told by reception that they won’t be cleaning our room. We was first told the room was ‘messy’ ( which it was not) then we was told that it was because we had 3 adults in the room and the night team had told them to kick us out if this was the case! I was staying with my mum and 2 cousins under 14.Im well aware of the rules as I work for the company and if it had been relayed to us that they thought my cousins were adults I would of explained to them they was not. Reception was very dismissive and refused to give us bedding because ‘they don’t clean rooms unless u stay for 6days’ which is rubbish as it states on my email we could have our room cleaned, then told me I could only have two of the beds made up and we’d have to share!!! It’s the first time we’ve come down to Dundee from Kent in a year to see our family and it’ll be the last time we will be staying with this premier inn.

ideal location for visiting tourist attractions & restaurants in Dundee. clean comfortable rooms, ideal for our stay. Does what it says on the tin. Worth noting that parking is not free unlike other premier inns we have visited. Attached Beefeater restaurant was good for breakfast, but the bar closed at 10.30. Enjoyable stay.

Stayed over for 1 night as I was going out in Dundee. Good location for going out as Dundee City centre pubs and restaurants are very close. Just over the road from the train station. The hotel also has good parking. Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly at check in/out and at breakfast. Roo. Was clean and temperature was good.
