Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Dreadful sleep, creaking floor and every time upstairs moved we felt it. Beds were also really creaky so disturbed each other moving. Big pity though, as we enjoyed our meal and service earlier in the day.

Hotel's Favourite
I booked this hotel stay as a holiday treat before returning to work. We had never been here before but we will definitely be returning. From check in at reception the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had booked a platter lunch in the pavilion and thoroughly enjoyed it, again the staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable and larger than many rooms we have stayed in, with a nice big TV. We had dinner on the Blues restaurant and both of us were stuffed. The quality was excellent and the dishes well cooked. All the serving staff were pleasant, cheers Jake and seemed to be happy at work. In the bar it was table service only, not a problem but it was quite quiet. Bar prices were reasonable compared to many 4 star hotels, they have an extensive selection of drinks. My only criticism would be that the bar is part of a cafe and I feel that a separate bar would be an improvement. Next morning the breakfast was excellent, I have eaten a lot of full Scottish breakfasts and the quality of the ingredients was brilliant. All in all we WILL be returning, my one regret is not signing up for the reward card 😢

Beautiful rooms. Although GPS guides to d football stadium which is a street down & it takes a little time to find d hotel. Restaurant is nice. View out of d window too is pretty. There is nothing to sight see here & for that u have to to Glasgow. A bus trip to Scotland too is feasible fm Glasgow.

All staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious with adequate wardrobe space and tea/coffee/ hot chocolate etc. I found it strange that no meals were available between the hours of 4.45 and 20.00hrs. The only option to eat between these times was in the bar but the menu was snacks consisting of toasties, bagels etc. As we wanted to have a sit down meal, we had to go into Kilmarnock Town Centre and managed to get a table for the 4 of us at the Longhouse for 5.45. Seems crazy to lose out on business by not having late afternoon/early evening meals available but this was my only criticism as we enjoyed our nights stay

Stayed here for four nights on a Shearing coach tour. Was worried that it would be a dodgy hotel chosen because it was cheap. However it was a cracking hotel. We arrived late due to traffic , after dumping our bags we went to a nice room reserved for our party. The evening meal had good choices and the three course meal was excellent. What made our stay so good was the lovely staff , without exception they were happy, helpful and kind. Our room was lovely and clean, spacious . The only thing that I would have liked was a small fridge. The buffet breakfast was very good , something for all. The morning staff were as excellent as the evening shift. All in all I would recommend the hotel.

Firstly the staff. The (un-planned) late night book-in was smooth and welcoming. Housekeeping girls were all lovely, very pleasant and hard-working. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well maintained. The shower was excellent with almost instant hot water. Buffet style breakfast was very good and the evening meals delicious. I would highly recommend this hotel as a base for visiting nearby towns, cities and attractions.

My son and I chose the Park Hotel as a base for a few days' driving around the south western region of Scotland. Everything about our stay was excellent. The hotel is very modern and the rooms were spacious, immaculately clean and well-serviced. The breakfasts were delicious and all of the staff were attentive and helpful. We took advantage of the very large, free car park and the overall price was reasonable. I would definitely recommend the Park Hotel for any stay in the Ayrshire part of Scotland.

Probably the best hotel in Kilmarnock. The rooms were spacious, although a bit hot for me, and no way of controlling the temperature. At least the window opened. Floorboards a bit squeaky, for those underneath.

First impression lovely. Mattress very poor. Service in Blue Restaurant was terrible, being advised fish would take 40 mins. After asking for black pepper and a glass of water twice, these were received 10 mins later. In fact the only thing that arrived within a minute was the bill. Another table got up an left due to delay. Would imagine the restaurant would improve with an older manager/manageress - staff so laid back they were horizontal. Credit where credit is due the food was really good.

Stayed 2 nights for a wedding nearby. Good welcome with warning and advice about the 10k run on the Sunday we needed to leave. That all went very smoothly. Good parking. Quiet for a central area. Efficient breakfast service. Large room with comfortable bed. Only a pity our floor was so creaky; but that’s a small glitch. We have already recommended it to local friends as good to use for their son’s wedding in 2024. We did not eat here apart from breakfast.
