Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Park Hotel garners high marks for cleanliness, with guests frequently lauding the pristine conditions and comfort of the rooms. Amenities, including a modern bar and well-appointed rooms, also receive positive attention for their quality. While the spacious rooms are generally appreciated, some guests have raised concerns over maintenance issues.
Opinions on the hotel's value are mixed, with discrepancies on pricing, particularly for breakfast. However, the service stands out, with many guests praising the staff's friendliness and dedication. Although the atmosphere is described as lively and inviting, a few visitors have mentioned disruptive noise and staff tensions.

Detailed Reviews
We had another fabulous stay. Room 124 was huge, we loved the hospitality tray with lovely Borders biscuits and bottled water.
2 course dinner from the Bistro menu in the new Blues restaurant was delicious. We couldn't finish the generous breakfast in the morning but the link sausages were the best I've tasted. Thanks again, see you next year.

Quick friendly check in. Spacious clean warm room. Windows can be opened for people that like fresh air. Bath with shower over. Lots of nice smellies and comfort tray well stocked. Breakfast freshly cooked to order and continental good selection.
All the staff we encountered were proactive friendly and a credit to the hotel.
I would have given 5 stars but no residents lounge and there was a charge for the use of the ATM machine.

First visit at the Blues Restaurant within the hotel. Lovely restaurant, well spaced out tables & good hygiene measures in place.
I struggled to find something from the menu as I’m sure it was actually a dinner menu, but everyone else had the same menu. I’d suggest adding some lighter meals to the lunch menu, eg sandwiches.
Anyway, I had the tempura king prawns, which were amazing! Everyone else at our table loved their food too - macaroni cheese, Cajun chicken burger, tempura chicken.
Nice staff, service was a bit slow but it was quite busy.

Excellent food in the restaurant with a good selection to choose from the menu, coupled with good service. The rooms are a little dated but still comfortable. This is a great location when travelling to Glasgow or the west coast for business or pleasure.

We recently went to The Park Hotel KIlmarnock for an early birthday treat. Though it was busy we were warmly greeted and shown to our seat. The menu offered a wide choice and we all chose different dishes which we all enjoyed. My good lady and I chose the creamy penne carbonara dish which was really good. The staff were also good checking up that our meals were to our satisfaction, an act that is not so often done now. The only point that we had was that the background music weas a bit loud. Would we return ? Yes !

We stayed here last night while in town attending a work function. Our room wasn't quite ready when we got there but the ladies in reception hung my dress, hubby's kilt and kept our bags while we went to the bar for a drink. They then came to get us the minute our room was ready...
Taxi was booked for us to get to the function, no issues at all.
We queried charging points for hubby's electric car.....the ladies didn't know but again had a response for us within 10 mins and we were fully charged this morning.
The same lady was on reception after a fantastic breakfast as we checked out, remembered we had been out the night before and said we had looked amazing and hoped we had had an amazing night!!!
Great staff all throughout but the front of house staff are amazing!!!!!

This is an absolutely amazing hotel. From Kelsea and Kia on the front desk to John and Julie, everyone went out of their way to make my stay outstanding. Nothing was to much trouble, even down to helping me connect to their wifi 🙂🙂 I'm not technical but everyone made my experience top notch. The food, the people the whole atmosphere was so welcoming. I can't wait to return. One of the best holidays I have ever had. Thank you Kelsea, Kia, John and Julie for making me feel so at home and safe xx

After receiving 2 sets of gift vouchers for special birthdays we used some on 2 visits . On discovering we had used the later dated ones first I visited the hotel to explain . Even use them this weekend . This was received with a direct NO , the earlier dated vouchers were 1 month over the year allowed . As this is direct cash given to them I find it hard to explain how a date even exists ( unless change of owners , maybe ) . I would like to advise anyone to avoid gift vouchers when management are very happy to take your money and hope your date lapses .

This was a thoroughly enjoyable experience from signing in to checking out. A large car park next to the entrance is helpful. The staff are warm and efficient, from an assistant manager scraping the ice off my car to restaurant staff who listened to my dietary needs. Breakfast was well cooked and tasty.
The room was large and well equipped. My only down side was the mattress needed a topper for my old bones- but I’ll bring my own another time as I am already planning to return to this excellent hotel.

Last table reservations in the restaurant are 8.45pm, the bar closes to non residents at 1am. Thanks
