Hotel's Favourite
Everything was good no problems, very clean hotel, plenty of car parking spaces, we had a large room with a large comfortable bed. Very quiet at night even with window open. Food next door was good. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here with parents who are in the 80s. Dad loves a bath, but the bath was too difficult to get in and out off. Also, the duvets in premier inn are always quite heavy and too warm.
However, all that aside, the hotel was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Booking a table for breakfast and dinner wasn't a problem and the staff in the Cotton Mill were equally as friendly and helpful.

We have stayed at the Premier Inn, Kilmarnock previously but on our recent visit it appears to have went down hill. The hotel seems to be in a phone and wifi black spot; the hotel room had a strong cleaning product smell, suggesting covering up for other unpleasant smells; the en-suite smelled of garlic as though someone had been cooking in there or an adjoining room; we could hear the snoring and tv of the neighbouring room; the room itself looked and felt tired and not particularly clean. All in a very disappointing stay.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times over the years due the location of it and have always found it to be just ok. I believe you get what you pay for.
I had booked a family / quadruple room for myself and my 2 teenagers ( 15 year old daughter & 13 year old son ) so we had a bed each. When we got to our room we had only 2 beds. I reported this to the receptionist but she said she couldn’t do anything as the hotel was fully booked. She did give me another quilt 🤷♂️.
Our room 21 had an almost constant banging / tapping coming from our bathroom throughout our stay. I reported this to the receptionist and showed a video of it but again was told she couldn’t do anything about it other than put it in the handover book ( I had 2 grumpy teenagers in the morning ).
Room 21 was by far the shabbiest I have stayed in at this hotel. There was mould on the bathroom ceiling.
Our phone / internet signals have always been poor at this hotel ( EE & O2 ) so I have always had to purchase the ultimate WiFi here. On this occasion even after the money was taken from the account the WiFi still didn’t work throughout our stay.
Overall rather than being the usual ok stay sadly this stay was very poor.

The toilet didn’t work the whole time we have been here and the staff did nothing to help whatsoever when we asked if they could help. All they did was show us a review page. They offered nothing to rectify the issue at all and told us that the receptionist would “go and have a look”. They haven’t fixed anything and haven’t offered us any kind of compensation for it. Annoying to not be able to use a basic human right. Breakfast was also atrocious, over cooked food, staff not available to take orders, buffet was always empty and toilets there were out of order too.

Booked a disabled room with a wet room, on checking in not only was the room a long distance and through five fire doors away, it had a bath. I am unable to get into a bath due to my Disability. No other suitable room was available, so I had to cancel and found a Marston Inn close by which did have an appropriate room. I am still waiting for a refund of the two nights accommodation prepaid, plus two days breakfast and dinner for two also prepaid.

Checked in earlier (about 30 mims) than the check in time of 3pm and was charged £10 for this. Usually, at any hotel I've been to in the past, your room is either ready or not - have never been charged before. When we opened our door, the room smelled strongly of cigarettes. I went to reception to complain and ask for another room. The receptionist was polite however she didn’t need to ask my room number, she advised "that he'd been charged" (assume this was the £100 for smoking in the room).
Why weren't we told when we checked in, also we'd paid £10 to get into a room where we couldn't unpack! A machine was taken to our room (no other rooms available) to try and get rid of the strong smell of stale smoke. We thought this would have been left in for a good number of hours - we went out for a few hours and when we came back it had been removed from the room.
We were given a complimentary breakfast. I was also given a phone number to call as there was no manager on site, this was closed when I tried to call (Saturday afternoon).
I wasn't going to share this experience however, my husband gave feedback and has received no response from the hotel.

Avoid this hotel at all costs. A cheap (not brilliant itself) room for the night turned into a 4 grand bill for us to have our car fixed after it was damaged in the car park in the night. While cars are left at your own risk, it does say there is CCTV in operation and we parked with a camera pointing right at our car… turns out only one camera in the car park was actually working and it wasn’t that one! The receptionist could not have cared less and didn’t even ask us if the car was drivable, we could have been stranded there for all she knew.

I often stay at the Premier Inn with business, and I am always happy however I have made a formal complaint about my stay at the Kilmarnock hotel. The room stunk of cigarettes to the point of which my daughter was crying. We had to sleep in nicotine stenched sheets. There was even a smell of smoke in the bathroom.
We entered the room and the smell hit us, the corridor leading to the room smelled of smoke.
I went to reception and the lovely receptionist tried to spray the carpet and curtains, but this made no difference. I hardly slept and after a four-hour journey I was desperate for sleep.
The staff at the hotel were lovely but room was awful.
