Good old-fashioned B+B, very clean, well maintained, good food, bed very comfortable, room not large (and bathroom tiny) but high ceiling and nice big window with net curtain, didn't feel cramped. Breakfast starts at eight am. I entered the breakfast room at five to eight and was asked to leave the room. Another couple sat down at the 'wrong' table... More

The best we have ever experienced. A beautiful room and world class service. Great food and helpful local knowledge. Owner operators have meticulous attention to every detail. Park your car and use the close by local bus system to visit the city. Dine at local pubs or restaurants. See the castle or visit The palace of Holyrood House where the... More

Great place, with excellent services, in a good location. Personnel were very attentive and breakfast was delicious and presented well. Several good restaurants are nearby. Short cab ride or several busses to the Castle or Palace.

I stayed here for three nights in October and had a lovely experience. Gerry and Maggie took such care of me the entire time that it was difficult to leave. The breakfast was the best I had out of all of my hotels in Great Britain. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. Gerry recommended wondered restaurants and pubs just minutes... More

This is an excellent B & B. It's location is very convenient, only 50m to the bus stop where the buses, (every few minutes) get to the centre of town in just a few minutes. (It is walkable in about 25mins) It's immaculate as you would expect from all the reviews, and because it's just off the main road, it's... More

Thanks to Bill and Maggie, we had an amazing time in this Edinburgh guest house. Bill provided warm hospitality and very helpful, practical suggestions for getting around. Maggie began our day with her cheerful and competent serving at breakfast. She's a perfect fit for that role. The full Scottish breakfast is available, plus the self-serve buffet. Our room, #3, was... More
