Garlands Guest House is a very nice hotel, in a calm neighborhood near all the turistic atractions (20 min on foot). It has a great service and a wonderfull breakfast (you van have eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, toasts, cereals and a lot more...)!

A lovely guest house The owners can't do enough to help you And chat away as if they know you. Beautiful dinning room and a really good hearty breakfast if that's what you like or there are other options as well. Can't praise it enough. We stayed in the Garlands for 10 days this month and were very, very happy that we had the opportunity. The owners, Bill and Ian, treated us as if we were guests in their home - not merely roomers in a bed and breakfast. Most refreshing! The house is a Georgian style built in 1820 and quite beautifully decorated. It... More

We (mother and daughter) stayed here for four nights, and we loved it. The house is clean, quiet, decorated in classic Englisch style that suits the house and there is a relaxt atmosphere. House owners and hosts Bill and Ian take good care of their guests; they give the info, jokes and breakfast you need on a vacation. Garlands Guest... More

What a lovely place! Stayed here 4 nights on my way to the Highlands. Beautiful room, quiet street, excellent cooked to order breakfast every morning. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and attractions. My room was spacious, meticulously clean and had strong wifi. Bill, the proprietor, is warm, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Excellent choice.

Bill and Ian are owners who clearly make every effort to ensure guests enjoy their stay at Garlands which is a very traditional and comfortable city guest house. Our room was spotless and breakfast beautifully cooked. We will definitely look to stay again on our next trip to Edinburgh.

I last visited 10 years ago and it's good to experience the same high standard of hospitality from Bill and Ian. Well appointed rooms and great breakfasts. 10 minutes walk into the city centre and on a bus route. The bus service is excellent - as is the app Lothian for the buses

Beautiful guest house located a short enjoyable stroll from the centre of the city and all it has to offer. Regular bus service which stops outside the door for damper days. Bill and Ian were extremely friendly, welcoming and accommodating in every way they could be. The room was comfortable and clean and the facilities were second to none. I... More

It's good in general but there is room for improvement. We stayed at Rm. 6, the washroom is not clean as expected / one of the curtains in the room is missing / TV in room doesn't work all the time / no shampoo provided.

I was only staying here for one night and so was just looking for a comfortable, but reputable, bed for the night and although had intended to book into a hotel I came across Garlands Guest House on Booking.com and so glad I did, it is wonderful! I have never stayed in a B & B or a Guest House... More
