Stayed in a double room for single occupancy for one night only when taking part in a two day event in the centre of Edinburgh. Eleanor is very welcoming and the house is in a great location just alongside the Botanic Gardens with an easy journey to the centre of the city. The room was quiet and very clean. Superior... More

We had a very pleasent stay at Botanics BB. From the very first time we crossed the door we felt right at home. The rooms are very cozy and offer a nice view to the garden behind the house. Eleanor was also very helpful with informations and reccomandations regarding our stay in Edinburgh, something which made our visit easier. We... More

From the moment we arrived we felt liked we were being welcomed by a long lost friend. My son and I spent 12 incredible days at Botanics B&B during festival season. The home is beautifully decorated and the rooms are very well appointed. Eleanor is a warm and engaging host offering a level of hospitality a cut above the norm.... More

The flower of Edinburgh hospitality can be found in Inverleith right by the city's fabulous Botanic Gardens. Eleanor Milner offers guests a friendly family atmosphere at her lovely home with a warm welcome and delicious breakfast. It is ideally situated with a ten to 15 minute ride from the bus stop at the end of the road to the city... More

We enjoyed staying with Eleanor and her daughter for two nights here. It truly was a home away from home for us. Our room was a good size which overlooked the rear garden. The bed was very comfortable and cosy. The continental breakfast each morning in the kitchen was lovely. Eleanor provided some great suggestions for dinner in Stockbridge which... More

The owner and host, Eleanor, was warm and friendly and helpful. The room is cozy, comfortable and welcoming. The breakfast is simple, but tasty with cereals, fruit, hot drinks, bread and jams, and a fresh baked pastry. Staying here felt easy and low key. Highly recommended.

I came up for an RHS weekend course, escaping family routines but also needing to use the evenings to put in some work for imminent exams. Eleanor's home provided the perfect haven: an easy bus ride from Waverley station, an easy walk to RBGE and the warmest and easiest of welcomes. Her particular brand of hospitality is unique - I... Of all the b&b´s we have been in the past few years this one has to be the best. We had a cosy, smart and clean bedroom in Eleanor´s beautiful period property, situated in a leafy street just 10 minutes bus ride to the centre and beside the Botanic Gardens. We had full use of her gorgeous and massive kitchen... More

Highly recommend Botanics B and B. Homely feel, beautifully presented, clean and comfortable rooms and Eleanor made me very welcome. I loved the views of garden and parkland behind. Botanics is also very close to the centre of Edinburgh and main bus routes. Only gripe I had was with the weather which for May was surprisingly cold and wet!!

I would recommend the Botanics B&B to anyone who appreciates a quiet, homely stay in a lovely part of Edinburgh. Eleanor was very helpful and welcoming throughout and made us comfortable sharing her home for a short stay. The Botanical gardens are literally across the road and you can easily walk into Stockbridge, where there are eating places and interesting... More
