The apartment had everything we needed for a city break. It was clean, plenty of hot water, heating if you needed it.Some more pillows would have been useful as there was only one very flat one per bed.More than adequate seating in the lounge The best thing was the location - Just a couple of minutes away from the Royal Mile with...

Clean, well appointed and well located unit with secure off-street parking. Generous hosts who provided sufficient breakfast cereals for a week, a litre of milk and a loaf of bread in addition to some sound advice on restaurants and shops. Close to: o Royal Mile and many restaurants, o city centre with shops and attractions, o railway station, o Parliament...

On arrival there were not particularly clear instructions to find which was our apartment but it was sorted with a phone call. The apartment felt quite dirty and the stained carpets were really off putting. Only 2 out of the 3 bedrooms made up, one thin pillow each, 1 towel each, no hand or hair towels. Sofa's only enough for...

A luxurious place to stay. Excellent location. Clean. Quiet. Several apartments with balconies and all of the apartments are well looked after. There is more than enough room ventilation making it a very pleasant place to stay. Having been to these apartments myself I can safely say that I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone who is planning on...

Staying in Old Town

Neighbourhood Profile
Old Town
Few Edinburghers live in the Old Town, but its labyrinth of dank alleys and steep streets suggests this was not always the case. Today, it’s mostly visitors, tartan-flavoured souvenir shops, and pipers that you’ll find on its cobbled streets. This is the place to get a feel for Auld Reekie (Old Smelly), as the town was once nicknamed, and stroll the Royal Mile, the thoroughfare that links the castle with the royal palace – two of Edinburgh’s great set-piece attractions. But there’s lots more exploring to do here down dozens of little alleys, or wynds, while at night the city’s busiest clubs erupt along the Cowgate which is closed to traffic for this purpose.
