Detailed Reviews
This was a really great place to stay. Located about ten minutes outside of the centre of Edinburgh (it’s a lovely stroll before the city’s inevitable carnage, plus you go past a lot of nice restaurants and bars).
The owners were fantastic, they were very friendly and accommodating. They saved us a parking space on our arrival, showed us around our room and even got us a card and some chocolates (as we were staying for our anniversary). After this we rarely saw them - you could come and go as you wanted and they always cleaned the rooms whilst we were out. We loved this and found it to be a very relaxing experience.
No complaints about the room - very comfortable and nicely decorated. Whilst it had everything you could want. There was even a continental breakfast that was regularly topped up including crepes and waffles which were amazing!

Upon booking I was not aware of the stairs and no ground floor rooms, so be aware if mobility is an issue.
Lovely service, nothing was too much trouble, very friendly and welcoming.
No cooked breakfast due to covid, however they did provide us with pastries, fruit, cereal bars, water and orange juice.
The bathroom was far far too small, couldn't move around in there at all.
The room had a little dust around the edges, but everything else was perfectly clean and fine.
Perfect for a night or 2, beds were comfy and the the b&b has a nice chilled frieny atmosphere.

Car Park, Only enough room for 3 cars
Hall way, the carpet needs cleaning
Bedroom, we had a room on the front and it was hot. We couldn't have the windows open because of the noise from the road. The mattress are very uncomfortable and the toilet didn't flush

Response from Blossom Guesthouse, General Manager at Blossom House
Responded 11 Jun 2021
Dear Darren, I am sorry you did not enjoy your very brief stay with us. Indeed our car park is small and takes only FIVE cars. It is also FREE. You did not pay for it. Furthermore, as we did not have any other cars in, that night you were able to park your VAN without any difficulty. I suspect your lack of sleep was more to do with your 5 am departure than lack of comfort in the room. You checked in at lunchtime. If you found the room, not to your satisfaction you could have informed us and we would have given you a different room. Alternatively, you could have swapped rooms with your son who also was given a family room at no extra charge.

We weren't sure what to expect as it was a last minute change to here - but what a surprise. The owners are so welcoming and helpful - and the room was modern and clean and warm! Breakfast was an excellent selection which set you up.
To walk into town was only around 30 minutes, past a vibrant area of the old town - although buses stopped right outside - it was so easy.
My advice? If you are visiting Edinburgh stay here - don't pay silly money to stay in the center - stay here.
Can't praise the Blossom enough for a brilliant new year in Edinburgh.

Stayed at the Blossom guest house for a couple of nights. Definitely ticked all of the right boxes for us. Good location, 5 minutes out of the city centre with bus stops (Pick up & Drop off) less than a minute away. Room was spacious & clean, staff were friendly & polite throughout & the Breakfast catered for our needs. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed in Blossom House for three nights and we found it to be a nice and quiet place, offering a good value for money, and having a car park. The access to the centre of Edinburgh and Arthur's seat is very easy, just a short walk from the guest house. Very friendly and welcoming service!

Room was clean and nice to stay in, enjoyable stay and kind owners. The location just 20 minutes from the centre of town was easy to access walking, by bus and by taxi. I left my coat at the guesthouse and they were great in getting it back to me by post
