We stayed in the superior studio on the ground floor for 5 nights.

It was very spacious and had everything we needed. The studio had two TVs the one in the lounge had Spotify, Netflix and BT sports which was appreciated.

The location was fantastic, located to all the major attractions with Edinburgh castle just a 5 minute walk away.

From the reviews on their website I was expecting more street noise but it was actually really peaceful and located on a very quite street.

It had modern kitchen equipment but had a bit of an issue working the oven, but the maintenance team were very efficient.

Had good sized mirrors and storage. One criticism is that it didn’t have any cooking essentials, so we had to buy oil, salt & pepper etc. It was a very positive experience which we would recommend and would stay at again.

Myself and my partner stayed here for 2 nights. The apartment was lovely, very clean and had everything you could possibly need, we were so impressed! The location is great too, just off Princes street so very accessible and within walking distance of everything you would want to visit on a trip to Edinburgh! The apartment even had Spotify, Netflix, BT sports etc on the tv, and a washing machine! The price is brilliant especially considering what you get for it. The staff in the offices were also lovely, allowing us to leave our luggage there on our first day so that we could explore as check in was not until 3pm. The only thing that put a bit of a dampener on our stay and hence the loss of a star was the attitude of one of the employees, the housekeeper. We got held up on our way back to the apartment to check out on our last day due to the rain so traffic was bad. Check out states that you should be out of your apartment for 11. We arrived back to the apartment to collect our things (we had them all packed and ready to go just inside the door) at 11.02 and the house keeper was in the hallway and gave us terrible hassle about being 2 minutes late to collect our things. I must add we were completely out of the building by 11.04. Being such a brilliant company with otherwise wonderful customer service, I thought it was a shame as it was the last impression we got.

We had a great overall stay at Canning Street Lane - apartment incredibly clean, equipped with everything you need and in a great location. Wifi also worked amazingly. The only downsides were the windows not being double glazed (they let noise in to the point where you thought they were open and kept checking) and the person coming to clean our room already making noise at 8:30 on a Saturday morning - she then proceeded to stand and wait on the tiny corridor right outside our door ALL morning until 11:00 (bear in mind you can hear everything through the doors so we could not even have a private conversation properly). We left the apartment at 9:30 to get a coffee and walk around, she was waiting there clearly ready to get in, then in the same position when we came back an hour later. To say we felt rushed and uncomfortable would be an understatement! Would be great if the company gave their staff a break room they can wait in or if they were told to come back at actual check-out time at 11…

Have stayed in various Destiny Apartments over the last few years as I have family in the area and I can say with certainty I will not use again. The apartment itself is not in the least bit soundproof, with drunken noise and shouting outside the window every night I stayed, the cleaners clattering a hoover up and down the hardwood stairs at 8.30am and culminating in 3 women trying to gain access to my apartment as they had either misread or been given incorrect information. The customer service response was "it happens" no apology, no compensation and very obviously uninterested in dealing with a complaint. Very disappointing as they once were the one to beat for decent accommodation.

Apartment was easy to get to and close enough to the city and walking distance to all the major attractions.

Apartment was clean and well planned and the furniture like new. The apartment felt brand new and appropriate covid measures were in place.

Mattress was good quality and I’m a mattress snob and all bedding spotless.

I would definitely stay again and would recommend.

Stayed at Hanover street apartments earlier in the week so tried these ones. Lovely and clean spacious apartment in a great location. View wasn't great overlooking offices and the front door was so loud banging when people went in and out so was quite noisy. Apart from that it was ok.

I stayed here for one night in May 2019. The apartment was spacious, clean and modern and I wish I was able to have stayed here for longer. The location of the apartment is central and it was easy to gain access with a code that is sent you via email the day before your arrival. It was also very affordable. I would highly recommend these apartments.

Hi we visited Scotland for 5 days staying 4 nights at the Canning Street Lane apartment. We booked online and opted for a superior apartment as it gave us a slightly larger apartment.
A few days before our arrival we received an email instructing us how to check in and this was via a keypad direct at the apartments. From Waverly station it was for my husband and I an approximate 20 minute walk although there was a bus stop / tram stop a couple of minutes away.
Our apartment was on the first floor. It was spacious clean and totally adequate for our needs. It had a comfy bed. Safe was provided . Bathroom had a large shower and a large bath towel and hand towel were provided for us both.
The kitchen had a dishwasher / washing machine / fridge freezer / hob and oven ( also functioned as a microwave) . I managed to cook basic easy meals . Provided were a couple of dishwasher tablets t cloth washing up liquid and a sponge. We never tried the washing machine. Rubbish was removed on alternative days .
The lounge area had a Tv and sofa. After a busy day sight seeing it was lovely to relax and watch TV . Free WiFi was included and it was sufficient for our needs.
On check out we left our luggage at Handover street at Destiny Scotland office as it was nearer the railway station and it fitted in with our plans better. The staff I spoke too at Destiny Scotland were helpful and polite.

Stayed at 2 Canning Street Lane apartments for two nights in October 2019.

Pros: Beautiful apartment, great location, decent price and self contained.
Cons: windows rattled as could not lock (but us3d wedge for second night), lack of wifi and as per below....

Would have been a great stay had it not been for the 20 or so homeless vagrants that camped in the undercover car parks directly outside of the bedroom windows each night.
They arrived at about 8pm each night and yelled, fought and talked extremely loudly until about 2am, then started again at about 5am each morning when they started to get up and move on. There were rumblings continuously through the night and as the apartments do not have double glazing windows, it was impossible to sleep due to the noise being made.

In short, the apartments have everything going but I would personally opt for another location if I was to stay again

Destiny Scotland staff took ages to respond to emails and in one case did not respond at all regarding maintenance issues.

I was attending a conference at the Sheraton, and these apartments were just a block or so away and a third of the price of staying at the hotel. The size was quite spacious and comfortable. Everything was clean and neat. The washer/dryer was a nice amenity. The only issue I had was with the wi-fi, which was spotty.

I would highly recommend these apartments as a place to stay in Edinburgh. It's a nice, central location, with super easy access to the tram to and from the airport.
