Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Perfect location for one overnight stay. Staff were friendly & polite. The hotel is fairly basic but it is clean. The bed was comfy. Electric heater is a bit basic but easy to adjust temperature. Breakfast was freshly cooked, good variety of things to eat: cereals, yogurts, fresh fruit, pastries, hot food.

Staying here as I was working in the area… normally I am not a fan of travelodge but cannot fault this one… ok, the room was ok and had everything you need, but the highlight was the ladies on the reception desk. I had some very important paperwork missing and asked them if they would print it for me, not a problem, and it was a lot!! Cannot thank them enough!!!

A one night stop over. The hotel is OK, the bed was hard the room red hot even after turning radiator off, window couldn't be opened. The shower was hot and reasonable water pressure. The drinks at the bar were excessively expensive, even more than Edinburgh Airport. You are in the middle of nowhere so no other option. Didn't have breakfast as left early.

Only positive from this trip was the room as you’d expect with a travelodge. Rude staff at desk and was ignored at firsthand and made to wait 10-15 minutes before checking in. Will not be returning. Have stayed at other travelodges around Scotland and never had this kind of experience.

We arrived around 11pm to a warm welcome, even got a drink at the bar and staff friendly and chatty. Room really clean, smelt lovely and we had a lovely comfortable stay. It was a really convenient location for Edinburgh airport.

It was a basic room with ensuite shower/toilet, both of which were clean, and the bed was perfectly comfortable. The room had a TV and a kettle with tea bags and milk. The staff were pleasant, and helpful. I asked them to book a taxi for me to get to the airport the next day. Initially, I thought the taxi fare to the airport was expensive (only 5 minutes away) but I looked up a nearby taxi company and found they charged more. The hotel said there was a cap on the price of the taxi from the hotel, which was reassuring. Even with the extra fare, it was still far cheaper than staying right next to the airport. My only gripe was that Wifi was only free for 30 minutes.

Terrible customer service. Rooms are far from being clean, mould in the toilets visible and ingnored by the staff. Not to mention about the kettle. My husband couldn’t drink his coffee because it was so disgusting.

Great clean hotel and worth the money. I would visit again. Breakfast was OK and a must as everything around thr hotel is far so worth having breakfast. One star lacks for that smile on the face of staff.
