Detailed Reviews
What an excellent stay we had at Travelodge Edinburgh Park.
Large car park area, and very welcoming staff. Shout out to Mr Adil who had the absolute patience of a saint assisting me onto wifi on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble for him, what a delight he was. Also a huge mention to Paige, you have an amazing staff there.
Room was average size for a family room (4 of us) but we were very happy with it. Usual tea/coffee faciluties, linen and towels.
This Travelodge has a cafe and bar downstairs, as well as serving meals and breakfast throughout the day. I would definitely reccommend booking breakfast there, and the kids eat for free, bonus!
Plenty buses into Edinburgh city centre, however, South Gyle train station is only a 5 min walk away and well worth it ( Maybe a small map could be included in room welcome pack for directions to trains and local buses?) Off peak day return by train is very reasonable (£14 for 4 of us in June 2024) and a great 10 min train ride into Edinburgh Waverley Station to start our holuday. Total fun and no stress at all.
This Travelodge was a great decision and I will definitely be booking again on my next trip to Edinburgh. I cannot praise this or the staff highly enough.

Fantastic low cost stay! Steph was super helpful in getting me checked in and all amenities were solid, very close to bus stop and tram ten min away, connected directly to the city center. The room doesn't have massive extras like hair dryers or dental kits, but the Scottish water is s tier, well maintained neat and tidy, absolutely recommended

Stayed on the Sunday night for a visit to the Fringe as it was 1/2 the price of city centre hotels with easy tram access to city centre. The hotel had plenty of parking and was very modern and spotlessly clean. Rooms were a good size and bed was comfortable with a great shower and clean bathroom with plenty of fresh quality towels. Breakfast was very good with the usual choices for a cooked breakfast and cereals. Overall it was excellent value for money and would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here for 9 days. During a period when it was warmer in Edinburgh. Air conditioning is locked and can only be turned on or off, temperature cannot be set. Open the window? Doesn't work with that child lock.
Then just put a drink in the fridge, there is no fridge available.
Should I put my clothes in the closet? No wardrobe in the room. Bathroom is on the small side with little place to sit on the toilet. A shower bath that floods your bathroom because the cover cannot fully close.
A musty smell also lingered in the room.
Small desk where you can make coffee. The bags seemed clean but the spoons were dirty. Small rubbish bin in the room.
Hang a card before cleaning the room = only clean towels and a toilet roll. The sheets are only changed once a week.
Wifi is chargeable at £3 per 24 hours...
4G is faster, use that.
The TV hanging on the wall is actually too small to watch properly from bed.
Did not use bar or restaurant in hotel itself.
Positive points:
- Good connection with public transport for activities.
- Close to shopping center
Overalls
I won't be coming back here again. Wouldn't recommend it to friends or family either. Chose this hotel due to lack of other options.
Actually only worth 1 star

We have booked a Super Room! We hunged the tag for top up for three days, to refresh our towels and empty our bins, unfortunately just once we found on our bed the new five towels, two new bin bags and two toilet paper rolls. Therefore we had to change the bin bags!!! We also had the old towels left in the room and meanwhile we had to buy our own toilet paper rolls!!! Very sad!!!

Booking made in Sept 2022 for a twin room for 2 nights. Arrived to be told they had no twin rooms left! Rooms are allocated on arrival no matter when it was booked. The lovely lady at reception did offer to try another nearby hotel in their chain, but that meant coming back for our 2nd night. We did get a double room, and we made a makeshift bed on the floor with pillows and the duvet, on which one of us slept! The following morning we were moved to a twin room. We did get 50% of our 1st night charge refunded and complimentary breakfast the next morning and a complimentary drink. The morning of our departure at 10am there was a knock at the door and when I answered it in my dressing gown and my hair in a towel, I'd just come out of the shower, I found a male staff member who asked me when were we checking out! I very politely told him when we were ready!

I stayed here for a night with my daughter to go shopping in Edinburgh. Check in was very straightforward with extremely friendly and chatty staff. I had difficulty in logging on to the wifi later in the evening and this was fixed straight away by staff. The rooms were of a very high standard, with a double socket at each side of the bed, with USB plugs also. There was ample tea/coffee making facilities and the bathroom was a sealed unit type of thing where all the walls and ceiling were of clean, wipe down surfaces. Excellent standard of cleanliness throughout. Ample free parking outside and restaurant adjacent to the hotel (did not use). There is a bus stop directly opposite the hotel which takes you in to the centre of town for £1.80 and takes around 30 minutes. I will definitely return to this hotel next time I go to Edinburgh and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Customer service was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble for the person on duty.
The room was very clean, although the carpet in room 102 has seen better days and could do with being renewed or professionally cleaned as it is very marked.
Power shower was fantastic just like home which I usually find frustrating in some hotels as they can be horrible.
Hotel is situated in a fantastic area, very close to tram stop which can take you into the city centre within 15 minutes and is also very close to Edinburgh Airport.

We had travelled from Inverness to Edinburgh. we were delighted after a long trip that there was a car park on site. we were greeted by a member of staff. Our Family room was very clean airy loads of Power points, a good A/C unit the bathroom was very clean loads of towels the bed was very comfortable ( In my own opinion l would have liked a walking in shower not a bath with a shower curtain) the only fault was very little space to hang you cloths in the room apart from that we were very happy overall. the breakfast was excellent staff were brilliant cleaning the table and setting the table, food was replenished regularly . We Found it was easy to go into Edinburgh city centre bus stop outside the hotel take you onto princes Street and train station five minutes walk from the hotel which take you into Waverley street train station Edinburgh. Also there is a Pub Next to the Hotel and a retail park close by. Great Location I would 100% recommend this hotel

Very nice, cosy, jazzy place with super service and menu. The service is very helpful 24/7 and rooms have higher standards than in other hotels on this price level. Best place to take a rest after a long journey.
