What an amazing experience. The spa and an absolute fantastic. The staff throughout the spa and hotel could not be more friendly or helpful. The view of the castle was unbelievable. Access to the club lounge was a surprisingly great touch. Complimentary drinks and canapés on the afternoon and cooked breakfast included. I don’t think I can stay in any other hotel in Edinburgh after this experience. Great location and great restaurant too. Steak was the best I’ve had.

Booked a two night stay in the castle view room for a nice break. The room was slightly dusty also both nights the room next door played loud music guests were very rowdy and a nuisance. Reporting to reception first night they asked me to knock on the door? Second night they checked someone new in next room who played music till 3am used foul language under the influence both nights. The hotel staff asked us to move room at 2am. This was unacceptable and shocking from a 5 star hotel. A stay that really didn't help our relaxation terrible.

Dear l2412FNsantoshk, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Providing the best quality service is our number on priority at Sheraton Grand Hotel & SPA, therefore I am very disappointed we did not reach you expectations on this occasion. I would like to ensure you we are taking all of the feedback from our guests very seriously, therefore I shared it with our management. Additionally I am sorry the solution suggested by the Night Manager did not reach what you expected. To ensure we are taking the right direction for our guest I would highly appreciate if you would find a minute to get back to us with more details therefore we will be able to use this unfortunate situation as a teachable lesson. I hope despite this inconvenience the rest of your stay was wonderful and you would consider giving us another chance in the near future. Sincerely Maciej Graczyk

Wonderful day, room was spacious and comfortable, bed was petect and there were loads of extras in the room. The spa was an incredible experience, we had a three hour pass and enjoyed every minute,so many different saunas to try, the outdoor jacuzzi was amazing. The breakfast was delicious and generous portions. Staff couldn’t have been nicer.Thank you!

Check in was 3pm, unfortunately our room was not ready, we returned 2 times to be told it still wasn't ready, we didn't get our room until the back of 7pm, the staff were apologetic and we did get a free drink at the bar! Unfortunately we missed our spa because of all that, the room itself was very spacious and very nice, the cleanness was poor though, it had obviously been rushed and not cleaned properly! The tap on the bath was just like a drip, no bin bags in the little bins either, 50mins for room service, but the food was lovely but very expensive for what you get.

Staff were amazing, friendly and attentive. Except club lounge staff One square bar restaurant very quiet but amazing staff, food lovely with very big portions of food. Swing band playing during our lunch which was a lovely touch. One square bar was nice we went back around 7pm. Only downfall in the bathrooms was unable to get the water on to wash hands. Reported to staff but no follow up. Club lounge lovely ambience, comfy seating. Had to wait to be served and despite sitting facing the bar service was slow and sat with empty glasses. Staff were very dour and appeared not wanting to be there. Canapés were nicely presented and in a timey manner but not alot of items. Breakfast was buffet service which was a little disappointing but tasty none the less. Check in and check out was flawless. If booked in for one spa make sure you attend as you need to attend on slot to get full benefits. One spa was nice, provided with towels, robes. ,flip flops to use during the thermal suite. Lots of choice and outdoor pool was fab. It is very busy but does not effect experience. Could do with cups to use with water fountain. Room was gorgeous. View of castle and very spacious. Only Downside was bed and pillows to soft for our preference causing sore backs in the morning which the spa sorted out. Room was cold and did try to put heating on but still cold. Car park does not fit with ambience of hotel. Staircase very run down. Parking reasonable. Overall I will definitely be back x Stayed 18.2 to 19.3

Two night stay very enjoyable albeit this is far from 5 star hotel. We paid for a club room and spa access but unfortunately despite trying to book in advance, the spa was full on day 2. Did manage on day 1 and whilst the spa facilities are good, the female changing area is pretty run down, bit dirty and in need of refurb. Also no water cooler or costume wringer - both out of order. Club room bit if a waste. Full of people on laptops which l was trying to escape with a couple of days off work and also very limited window where food and alcohol on offer. We never managed the whole time. Breakfast was just ok, was quick - too quick as still eating starters when main came. Cold tea, toast never arrived and food on main plate was sparse. I’d recommend just eating elsewhere and saving money - plenty places round about. Did have dinner one night - complete opposite in that it took 50 mins to arrive but was tasty. Room was well equipped although also showing signs of wear and tear. Location and staff saved the day l’d say. Very expensive for what’s on offer but if you get a decent deal it’s worth a visit.

I stayed there for 3 nights, in room 418. One of the worst hotels in the Sheraton chain. Breakfast is ridiculous, especially at peak times. They have no buffet. Instead, they take your order at the table. We gave our order (typical Englich breakfast) and waited for 40 minutes (!), but the food never arrived. After complaining repeatedly, we left because we did not want to waste our morning. They apologized and said they would refund our breakfast, instead. But I could see other tables complaining, as well. As for the room service, this is poor too. On the 2nd day, the room was not serviced at all. We did have the "Do Not Disturb" sign hanging in the morning for EXACTLY 40 minutes only, between 12-12.40 . When we returned to the room, at 19.30, the room was not serviced. They said that they came to clean the room during this interval, but they never bothered coming back later (we had only hanged the sign for 40 minutes). They just did not bother servicing the room, at all. Overall, it is a hotel at a good location. BUT with the worst service. Not at Sheraton standards, nor a 5* hotel, by any means. This hotel is probably one of the worst, with the Sheraton logo of hotels. Considering the rates they charge; I would say not a good choice for sure, despite the good location. The only excellent service at this hotel, is the staff at reception. Really they are very friendly. Too bad they cannot fix all other bad things. UPDATE 19/02/24: The “breakfast supervisor” said that she reported the incident with our breakfast to the Hotel Manager. And that the Hotel Manager would contact us asap and apologize on behalf the hotel. And also, refund 1 days’ worth of breakfast charges. … Well, we checked out on 18/02/24, and absolutely no-one from the hotel, nor the hotel’s management tried to contact us. Also, they never refunded the 1-day’s breakfast, that the supervisor said they would. I have no hopes for a refund, anymore … Farewell, to the WORST SHERATON HOTEL we ever stayed. Something is very seriously wrong, with this hotel.

We recently stayed here for three nights and very much enjoyed our time at the hotel. We found the hotel design and facilities to be excellent, both in the public areas and also in our room. During our stay we dined at the One Square Brasserie on two occasions. We very much enjoyed both meals; the menu choice was excellent with plenty of variety and the surroundings of the Brasserie were very pleasant and relaxing, with the bonus of window seats overlooking the square. All the staff in the Brasserie, and in fact every member of hotel staff we met were polite, friendly and helpful. A special mention goes out to Rajeev and Mim in the Brasserie, who were excellent and helped make our stay extra special. We also had a lunch in the One Square Bar, and this was very enjoyable and relaxing too. We made use of the pool one afternoon, and again were very impressed by the facilities and helpful staff. The pool is a good size for a hotel one, and is very light and airy (unlike some which are in the basement). We would certainly recommend this hotel and the dining areas to others and we will certainly be making a return visit.

Amazing stay from start to finish. The room was stunning as was the spa. The food was delicious and the customer service from all the staff was amazing especially one of the engineers who we got speaking to called Karl. He was so helpful, professional and really made us feel at ease with his friendly, helpful manner. Hope to come for another stay again soon 🤞
