I'm not usually minded to write TA reviews on large chains (the experience can differ). Having attended a recent company conference, I thought it appropriate to give the Radisson Blu a shout out. Conference facilities aside, including food (which was all very good), I've got to ask.......... please share the brand of bed and pillows (room 535!). I sank into my double bed the pillows were on point! A very nice and relaxing room and a great night's sleep (lay in my bed the next morning, not wanting to get up!). Thank you Radisson! …
We visited Edinburgh in early June and were impressed with this hotel. Our family, including a grown daughter, like to travel together when we can and enjoy sharing the same room. This is sometimes difficult in Europe where they tend to put restrictions on roll-away beds, etc. In this case, the hotel allowed us to book a "family room". The room was immense, with a king bed and two twin beds, a conversation area, and a play area. While we didn't need all the space provided, it was a delight to have it. The staff of the hotel were warm and welcoming. We like to buy the full breakfast, when available, to fill up for a full day of sightseeing. The breakfast was nicely done, with fresh pastries, fruit, meats, cheeses and the option to order something other than scrambled eggs for no additional charge. The hotel is located almost precisely in the middle of the Royal Mile, directly on the High Street. There are a variety of restaurants close by.…
Lovely hotel..very nice and very quiet room ( sound proof doors). Room was lovely and clean. Walk out the door and you are in the heart of shopping, castle tours and restaurants. Everything you need without a car! Would go back again.
Large double bed was two singles with two single mattresses. Reception staff not friendly. Noise outside room. There was a queue for breakfast which was a little dry. I expect more from a Radission at £280
The rooms are amazing, the most modern ones I've seen in a hotel - they have Chromecasts and 50+ inch TVs. The 4 person family rooms have a bed per child, and even a play area for the kids, you are spoiled by them. The room corridors are a little dark and depressing compared to the rest of the hotel, and the swimming pool is a tiny spa. The prices will be very high until Autumn but you do get what you pay for for once, not just a high price for the location. The breakfasts though are something else - I've not found a better one in Edinburgh yet.…
