This is by far the best place you can stay in Edinburgh! From the second we had arrived Paul and Micheal couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. The house itself is decadent, with the most fascinating, beautiful artwork (by Micheal himself). Our room was so elegant and luxurious and we had the best nights sleep on the comfiest bed! As for breakfast, Micheal and Paul had handmade a delicious fruit salad and fresh pastries, along with a continental style breakfast + crumpets! During our stay they provided us with brilliant advice of what to do during the day, catered to what we’re interested in. I genuinely could not recommend Crescent house anymore!!! Thank you guys! Just returned home from a two week trip to the UK. The highlight of the trip was the time I spent at Crescent House. The house is beautify decorated, immaculate, serene and peaceful. Paul and Michael are exceptional hosts who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and are helpful with suggestions of places to visit. I had an early train so would not be there for breakfast, and I was greeted with some goodies to take with me. Paul even made a trip to the train station to deliver my Kindle that I had left behind. I will definitely return and can't recommend it highly enough. Crescent House, Paul & Michael made my visit to Edinburgh exceptional.

It’s taking me a month to write a review because I want to get it right. I think of Paul & Michael’s hospitality all the time. They are the most welcoming hosts. Their home exudes calmness & tranquility. It’s beautifully decorated & appointed. I had the pleasure of taking 5 friends to experience Michael & Paul’s hospitality. My friends told me it was the best place they have ever stated at & why didn’t I tell them about how wonderful it was before we arrived. I wanted them to be surprised. We had the B&B to ourselves as we occupied all three rooms. We used the lounge & massager nightly. Paul & Michael have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The highlight was the Buddha breakfast everyday. It takes Michael 1.5 hours to prefer & it’s a work of art along with being delicious. Please book early. I was unable to stay in May 2023. However, Paul refereed me to another gem. I also had the pleasure of staying in 2019 right after they were starting out. Until we meet again …. Slàinte Mhath…

Exceptional attentive service by Paul and Michael in a beautiful home that was walking distance from the main sites of Edinburgh. Comfortable room and lovely breakfasts in a bright house filled with interesting artwork. We would definitely stay again.

Fabulous in every way: Paul and Michael are warm, welcoming and so helpful: the house is beautifuly decorated and hung with Michael's wonderful art; we had a well appointed bedroom with a lovely en suite shower and use of a second bathroom with bath if wanted.

Genuinely the most lovely place we have ever stayed, we cannot recommend Crescent House enough! Paul and Mike have a beautiful home and made us feel very comfortable, they were so accommodating and gave us lots of recommendations of where to explore in the city and what events we could make the most of! Our room (Calton Suite) was immaculate, warm and relaxing, and each morning we got to enjoy a spectacular sunrise over Arthur’s Seat from our window. Mike and Paul put on a delicious spread for breakfast each morning which kept us going throughout the day. We have had a gorgeous trip and will definitely be coming back and recommending Crescent House to all our family and friends. Thank you so much for such a wonderful time!

Excellent hospitality by the host mike and paul. Better than a five star hotel as the ambience and aura of the house is calming and relaxing. The host even helped us to plan our trip. Outstanding breakfast and beyond the world art on display by mike. During our visit their was a storm warning in Edinburgh and our train got cancelled and it was a panic situation as we had to check out because we finished our booking term. They were sold out for rest of the week. But paul being a excellent host helped us to stay a bit longer inside the house as it was raining heavily outside and helped us to sort out our travel arrangements. The house can be one of the best attractions in Edinburgh as it is so well maintained and adorned. A must visit in Edinburgh subject to availability. My wife and I had three great nights at this wonderful gem of a bed-and-breakfast. Michael and Paul‘s house is beautifully designed and decorated and has ample opportunities to socialize as well as to enjoy solitude. Their warm welcome and Buddha breakfasts made us feel right at home and their local knowledge helped us figure out how to make the most of our time there. The location is close enough to everything you would want to see in the city without being in the thick of it. Many thanks Michael and Paul. We look forward to returning.

The perfect place to stay in Edinburgh - in the lovely Broughton area, with excellent shops and restaurants nearby. Hosts Michael and Paul could not have been kinder or more attentive. They have renovated this Georgian gem beautifully - filling it with stylish furniture and artworks - many by Michael himself (a professional artist). Everything is immaculate - perfectly thought through and executed. Bed linen, towels etc all top quality. And their famous “Buddha” breakfast is simply the best! We loved everything about Crescent House, and will definitely be back.

Michael and Paul are exceptional hosts. They are warm, thoughtful, and funny, and really helpful… we felt very welcome from the start. Their beautiful home showcases their attention to detail, as well as Michael’s wonderful art.
