Lovely huge clean spacious apartment in an excellent location. Front rooms are slightly noisy with Road traffic volumes and the people above can be heard bouncing round. However great place and would return again if visiting Edinburgh :)

Kitchen basics tea, coffee, sugar small pots of milk, there is a Tesco just down the street not even a 5 minute walk. There are various buses just on the...

Perfect location for Edinburgh centre. Christmas markets are lovely. Grateful for the upgrade to the larger apartment. Friendly and helpful staff who took our lugagge early and even carried it all up the 3 flights of stairs for our check in time. Perfect apartment with loads of space, warm and comfortable. Amazing views completed our trip. Will definitely book again.

Donny was on hand straight away to make us feel very welcome. Apartment location was fantastic. The apartment was as advertised - clean, spacious and cosy with super views over the city. Beds were super comfy and plenty of towels to go round. The purpose of our visit was to venture round the bright lights of Edinburgh's city and have...

Absolutely fabulous apartment. It has everything you need to cook in if you want. Why go out when you have all to need to cook and stay in lovely surroundings and it even has a Dishwasher! Tesco is a short walk away.

The apartment is located very closed to the city centre (15/20 minutes from Princes Street) and it has all the features that you look for during a stay: cleaness, warmness, fully equipped and great price! I already know where to go if I come back to Edinburgh.

Staying in Broughton & Calton

Neighbourhood Profile
Broughton & Calton
Lying where grandiose New Town townhouses give way to malls and utilitarian housing, Broughton and Calton have long been transitional neighbourhoods with a mixed identity. It’s here that Edinburgh’s gay village found a home in the 1980s. But gay culture is anything but overt along bustling epicentre Broughton Street; even if polished pubs, hip bistros, smart delis and art galleries all speak of affluent good taste. The top of Leith Walk is more ragged. This major thoroughfare boasts a famously gritty gay club, as well as a strip of good Indian restaurants. Regal Georgian and Victorian townhouses preside over largely deserted streets in Calton, where only the occasional restaurant or hotel brings much life. Even so, a steady trickle of idlers and picnickers pass by to climb Calton Hill for its wide-open lawns, wonderful city views, and curious monuments – an Athenian-style temple among them.
