Stayed here in December. Short walking distance to Princes Street and the Royal Mile. Affordable venue stayed in a family suite with two boys. Room wasn't fully prepared when we were booked in, no towels, no toilet paper. Also strangely there is a soap dispensor in the communal area but not in the toilet itself. In some YHAs their are...

I had mixed feelings about this hostel. It was cheap and an okay experience but I have stayed in much better hostels around the UK for similar prices. Good things: the hostel was clean and warm with free wifi. There was a kitchen, a laundry, a lounge area, and a cafe. Reception was open 24 hours. Good location just 10-15...

Going to sum up this review in topics: + Clean; + Good security measures in place; + Good location; + Helpful staff; - Obsolete noisy heaters; - Back-breaking beds, the worst ever (still on muscle relaxants); - Appalling wifi with code changing on an 8h basis including 4am. Bed doesn't let you sleep so you need your Internet, be ready...

This is never going to be Alltbeithe, but it could do better than, well, dull. I mean, it's all there - it's a cheap, clean place to bunk down, and is convenient for Edinburgh. The staff are friendly and helpful, and it has all the amenities. It just has no soul. There's nothing to make it interesting. It didn't feel...

Comfortable double room with ensuite. Nice cafe area and good wifi connections. Laundry available. All in all this was a great base for exploring Edinburgh. Supermarkets a couple of minutes away if you want to use the yha kitchens.

I used this hostel for a weekend stay in Edinburgh for the rugby. It is a nice walk from the youth hostel to the centre of Edinburgh and is not far from Hibs football club. Go for the full breakfast and make sure you have an empty stomach.

I stayed here by myself on an overnight trip to Edinburgh. I was put into a 6 bedroom female dorm ensuite where I shared the room with two other females. The beds were not very comfortable and the noise from outside traffic was distracting for most of the night. The free wifi requires a password that changes every 8 hours,...

I stayed in the Hostel for 3 nights in a private, en suite double. The room was clean, shower was good, and bed was comfortable. It was close to Princess Street, and Waverly Station.
